jokash 8
The predreadreadnoughts were all about the ram bow...yet you cant ram ingame (other than your own ships),since your ships slow down before hittting the enemy? Is ramming gonna be implemented?
Wowzery 49
Ramming is in the game, I've done it. The last ram I did was actually in an ironclad battle, but you can do it. Of course you have to get close which in most games doesn't bode well to your ship.
Cpt.Hissy 139
Collision avoidance forces boats to stop before collision, unless they have deceleration problems (or are going to ram allies). Was already complained about, probably will be improved in next update. Was supposed to be fixed in last one but nope.
ReefKip 62
you can ram by using manual rudder control (the slider) which overides every movement order. atleast the last time i rammed it worked this way. ramming isn't really a viable tactic at the moment as how the damage is calculated is very strange. Cpt.Hissy 139
I tried, even manual rudder doesn't override collision avoidance's breaking. If a ship is capable to stop fast enough it will do so. Maybe a trick with going past the target until last moment and steer towards it (thus triggering collision avoidance too late for it to stop) may work.

And that’s how the game should do it, by manually adjusting both the rudder and speed, then the auto helm and collision avoidance's are both is disable. Some sort of flag should pop up to show so, maybe clicking on that flag to reengage. Edited January 13 by Skeksis
