Crew Perk - Gunners - question

Hi,

 

Does anyone know if for gunnery perk:

+ 25 reload means that the reload takes longer ? (so it is worse than standard) or it is better (quicker) so this perk gives bonuses both to reload speed and accuracy.

+25 accuracy

The same situation is with sea wolfes.

I am not sure but I look at it as a positive as opposed to a negative.  When I look at all things in this game that is related to stats a + 25 % means to me I am 25% better at it than not having that perk. If I am 25% faster at reloading then again I think I am better with that perk than without it.  When you buy guns it's shows stats so I look at perks to improve those stats.

Let's say you have 6pdr Desagulier cannons on your ship. Those cannons have a reload time of 100 sec. Now add 25% to that and you have a reload time of 125 sec. So when it comes to the rate of fire -25% is good and +25% is bad. With accuracy it is the other way around. There the +25% is good and the -25% is bad.
