Simple Question: Is PROLIFIC FORGER heaven or hell for the game ?

    • Prolific Forger is HELL for the game
    • Prolific Forger is HEAVEN for the game

Question is simple, with all the nation switching of whole clans left and right, i think, its time to ask the community what they think about...

Personal note:

In my view, i never experienced so much toxicity in RvR and even inside nations since this DLC gets wildly used !

Todays enemies are tomorrow your friend and vice versa and noone knows anymore where every clan loyalty is:

- yesterdays nation

- todays nation

- or the planned move tomorrow to another one

I knew, the DLC is out but in my view, GameLabs should better pay all the buyers their money back and remove it from the game...

They loose so many customers on the other hand, which are pissed off of all the intrigancy and hostility which comes around by nature through all this nation hopping !

And i made just an observation:

All DLCs combined give GameLabs a total revenue of 217,40;- Euro ! This is 10 times more than this pesky Prolific Forger...

This means, the revenue you get from 10 people buying this, is less as if you lose ONE single customer who left the game instead of buying all the other DLCs...just a thought :P

Yeah, thats an argument...but when i started game in 2016, we had no choice to switch nations...in your case, we switched to another clan

having a clan but not capable of reasonable conversations with other clans so you cant combine strenght and defeat the enemies you better of going to a nation where there is option of new comrades

But if I recall correctly you could delete qnd recreate your account and then get your XP back as a redeemable, because XP was tied to your steam account

I dont recall this anymore as you --- but this option would be a possible middleground in my view

I dont think the issue is the forger DLC itself but rather the lack of incentives to join smaller nations.

Right now for a new player there is 0 reason not to choose Russia. Plenty of crafting ports quite a distance off any possible danger, little risk of ever losing those ports, good trading options etc.

Yeah, i see mate...i followed your recent converstaion in nations --- but who gives you the guarantee that in another nation, such things wont happen again after time ? You could never be friends with everyone

Clan based gameplay like EVE with nations as more a part of your characters lore and it wouldn't be a problem.

I think an issue with alts and nation switching is that it's impossible to keep track of anything.  There needs to be an ingame database of every player and and clan that way individuals and clans can keep track of who a player is and what nation/clan they fight for.  That way alts are still relevant (they shouldn't exist imo but whatever), the forger DLC is still relevant, but it's no longer a massive pain that others have pointed out.

What it is hell for the game is the unability of playing with players from other nations in a port battle and using their ports.

As it is now, it is all about joining the most powerful and biggest nations of the server cause there is no downside doing that. The incoming no-more-screening-patch will exarcebate this issue even more as weak nations often rely on screening to win their port battles.

Jumping nations is made mostly because people looks for safety. If this continues, war server could be renamed into Peace server v2.0 as RVR is pretty much dead already and there is no sign it will come back to life anytime soon.

Deleting the account zeros out the experience. The only thing tied to the account is the tutorial.

I think what he said was the case in 2k16 which they were discussing about

Especially the combination of the DLC and Alt Accounts is not good for the game. And if only because it makes the actual sense of a multiplayer game that playing (trading) with other people partially meaningless. I don't want to speak of all the possibilities of abuse.

I wish we really took a dive into full on Clan Alliance system.

but it's been clear it wouldn't ever happen.

I'm open for any good ideas, but when someone wants to change Nation then he must start from scratch.

It's ok when the rank got not deleted. but the Prolific Forger is a grave digger for this game and must be reworked.

Consider the other side so to speak. If a player has gotten frustrated with the nation he is part of due to either dictatorship run clans or other internal nation issues what options do they have. With forger they can switch nation and not have to rebuild everything. With deleting the account they start from scratch with nothing at all. Do you think most who are that frustrated will continue playing when they have absolutely nothing? Before the forger most would just leave the game. With it there is at least some level of player retention. Some may not like the ease there is with switching but there is still the hassle of having to move everything to a location that it can be retrieved from. While it is easy to move ships it is not an easy thing to relocate repairs and other items without risking losing them. So it is not just a click and go.

You do realize you can give your ships/resources/medals etc to an alt or a trusted friend and swich? Its basically the same thing as if you would keep your stuff in Neutral Ports

Incentivise small nations by lowering port BR.

Sorry greg but I don't see in what way it incentivises joining small nations. It only incentivises clans to do their own thing, regardless of what nation they join.

It allows clans to hold ports without relying on others. Since they have to rely on others they go to the perceived best so they can stay safe, thus they join the zergs.

I like this, allow clans to set the BR of their ports with a minimum and maximum BR allowed. The minimum and maximum would have to be tied to how many points the port has, for example a 55 point port should have a very high minimum BR like 15k or something whereas a 30 point port should be allowed a low minimum around 2-5k.

but dont think that in this way, you also make more easy to the big nation to attack these ports with less efforts?
