Error launcher client already exists

so I decided after seeing plenty of people play this game that I was going to treat myself and finally buy it. after purchasing the game then downloading the launcher and creating an account I went to actually start the game except every time I try to launch it I get a window that pops up saying "error another instance of client launcher already exists!" 

so I did some digging online and figured out how to check the game logs in case it would be helpful with the issue and the last log that was visible was:

I would just like to know what I have to do in order to get the game to launch so I can enjoy it.

I would just like to know what I have to do in order to get the game to launch so I can enjoy it.

In case this issue appears again could you please open task manager and search for “launcher” process and end it?

The next time I opened my laptop I decided to try and load up the game again and it has been loading and running fine since then so I have no idea what changed but it works perfectly now
