Greetings and first impressions

Greetings !

First of all, I would like to deeply thank you for this future game ! I wait for a game like this since Empire TW (10 years ...), in which i spent so many hours ... But it was not deep enough in its naval warfare in my opinion. And now playing Age of Sail gives me chills !

> First impressions : _ It's gorgeous ! Ships models are the Naval action ones and are really well done. Graphics are not quite perfect, especially aliasing but its an early access so I'm sure it will be smoothed later. Same thing for Deepness of view. We don't see really far at sea.

_ AI is not perfect, especially your ship's AI but again its still an EA so i'm not worried for now. But nevertheless sometimes it's really challenging and it's great ! (above all when you are outgunned or outmened )

_ I'm waiting for the following campains with excitment !

> Questions : I just registered myself on the forum so i might ask some questions that were already answered, sorry.

_ I really like historical quotes. For now on its exclusively Nelson's ones. Do you intend to input from other naval legends ? ( John Jervis, Paul jones, Howes, LaMotte-Piquet, Suffren ...)

_ Do you intend to only create UK and US campains or will there be other campain countries ? (France, Spain, Holland ?)

_ Will there be a "personnalised battles" option, like in TW series, where you choose ships, troops, techs for you and your ennemy and then rush onto battlefield ?

_ For now on, the Concord class frigate (hermione) doesn't have the "Hermione" model ingame but the HMS Pandora's one. Do you intend to change it in the future ? As a French, I'm a bit perfectionnist on French ships ^^

> Problems and bugs : _ Sometimes the port broadside disable itself and don't fire at all. It's particularly annoying when you're managing many ships at the same time.

_ At the end of US Campain, i'm stuck at the Battle of Valcour Island. Only ships with "60" grade can participate. But as that moment, i got a really powerfull fleet with 12lbs frigates, 2 Bellona's and 1 Agamemnon and i can't even play the mission. My ships are way too big. It's a bloking problem that has no sideway mission. It could be usefull to make the player anticipate or create a sidequest mission for players that have too big ships. It's just a suggestion.

Well that's all for now. And i really wish you to continue on this way, its already an amazing game !

Good Luck and Fair Seas to you all !

Only US and UK campaigns will be included in the game. There is the possibility of DLC campaigns for other nations.

Custom battles have been discussed, but no indications so far on if they will eventually be added.

As the game roughly follows the life of Nelson, they want to stick with his quotes rather than it just being random cool quotes. Though as there is a JPJ campaign, it would definitely makes sense for his quotes to be in the loading screen as well.

The complete campaign will include 5 US/UK Chapters and if the game sells well, dlc with additional campaigns will be added.

There has been discussion on a better and more customizable custom battle option but nothing besides just discussion.
