Aggressive AI

As i seem to moan a lot on this forum only fair I support a good change when i see it. 

I have been playing last few hours and didn't know about the AI patch. I don't like killing noobs mostly cos its boring but often end up at MT or KPR anyway cos its easy to get to and quick PvP (other hunters were there usually there too). Was fun being chased off by a massive ai fleet. Since then hunted around PE and SDC instead and got a lot of fights and against better quality players too. It seems they were not having to go to capitals either.  Early days but it seems that already the natural focus for PvP has now shifted away from capitals, which I think is good for everyone, particularly those just starting out.

Overall yes, increasing the entry timer a little perhaps to maybe 3-4 mins would make harder to farm due to possible emergency response time from captains able to get to capital.

Should discourage  noob farmers though, kinda like  big  creature spawns in mmo's to prevent bot farmers.

Just got tagged by one of the big fleets (Privateer Fleet?) and spent 5 minutes escaping, since I cant fight 4000BR in my Herc.  Forced PVE that you must run away from...  Just not fun.  I would have been happy with bigger capitol zones to protect the noobs.  I was well away from the capitol though and just passing by.  I predict less PVP overall.

It seems like a good addition. (btw this Hulla whatever, can write and speak like an educated man, but do not get fooled :) )

But as a Brit I see lots of Agressive Privateer Fleets, I can see 4-5 of them at the same time. Isn't it a bit too many ?

Also it says trincomalee and fleet has 8 large + 2 medium. I find it a bit awkward. 

@admin It could say Privateer Fleet / Coastal Guard Fleet as fleet name, may be a special fleet figure, and shows 8 large + 3 medium as usual.

Don't have so much fun like yesterday for a year or more, privateer fleets hunt me like blizzards. Perhaps a little bit to fast and to much fleets, but must test more..

May be a good idea but a little too late to stop the seal clubbing of new players that have already left. This should have been put in upon release. Some say it will bring hunters to the capital areas but face it, if you are going to fleet up and bring enough to deal with 6 large and 2 mediums, i doubt you would waste time going after a single target and pass up the chance to go after the target you were there for.  At least now low rank players might get a reprieve from being smashed daily by fast moving 5th rates.

Well you don't need much to deal with the guard fleets. Just 2 1st rates are rquiered to kill it. I don't like capitol farming and now we see people evolve or go under when they can't seal club anymore.  

 

Btw this fleet brings 130k reals and 6k XP each fight. Nice for opening books 

The question here is how much should be the radius or range of the ai before giving up or let someone pass. Also with this they could bring back the trader flag.   If you have the flag on ai won't tag you unless you do something bad.

I think these aggressive AI cheat on tags.  They tagged me once and I managed to move them right to the edge of the circle when the counter reached zero, yet when the battle opened they were very close.

I agree that they range way too far from the capitol.  KPR is not so bad because the town is deep inland and it keeps the bots closr to land, but MT is very bad because they extend outwards so far.  I can't imagine what the Dane and Swede bots are like, but they must overlap a ton of towns.  Maybe tone this down, @admin

it reminds me of the old capital protection fleets. They were later removed for various reasons, including some people attacking them to capture high rated ships. But it was indeed impossible at the start of open world testing to approach any ennemy capital port.

 

However, considering that the most problematic capital is MT, maybe it should be interesting to start pushing pirates away from regular nations by removing the need for a capital for them?

agressive ai will come back to peace server.
Some players gave a great suggestion to make them all pirates and spread them around the map around pirate havens and empty unprotected zones.They wont sail in fleets and will be just light ships
