World Wide Map

Recommended Posts

I'm not quite sure how well this would come into an implication.  But seeing this game has a map based around the Caribbean and South America and the Southern US.  I am curious to wonder if there will ever be an entire map of the Atlantic coming to the game or will the map just ultimately stay this size.  I mean if one were to say sail across the Atlantic in the game it would take time and I would assume those missions could be worth more.  As well as expanding the map of the game.  Just an interesting thought.

Great idea.

I would love to sail long distances.  Doldrums, scurvy, thirst, hunger etc ....

It's never going to happen.

😞

I would like to see an expansion up the Eastern seaboard.

Boston/ Halifax /Lunenburg/Newfoundland etc.

Great for pirates.

Whole world would be great but likely too much to join them all.

As long as the Canadian ports are Brit/uncapturable....I agree!

bad idea
the map is already too big to sail from one place to another already!
if we increased the size of the map it would take a few days to find another player instead of a few hours!

Perhaps all the PvP rewards and almost all the ports could be located in the Carribean.  The expanded world could be like Bermuda. Most of us never go there.  Russians excluded.  Would you go sailing off to a desolate uninhabited parts the world to look for other players if all the combat was in the Carribean?

you can sail literally from one corner of the map to the other in a couple of hours (I've done this many times, before wind boosts). With the addition of the boosts, it could be expanded without too much issue.

It's not hard to find pvp. Just stop and think about where people will be. Wheres the trade? If you find the money you will find pvp. Traders to gank and people trying to gank them. Pick your target.

In open ocean, far from island or continents, could work a more big level of zoom...like satellite or a lil less and the time goes more faster. If you, find somebody a pop up windows could tell you something about "sails at the horizon", or "Land!" and so you can go from America to Africa. Maybe in this case the fishing go off to avoit the possibility to overload the ship with cods and tunas😂

I've already sailed in most of areas around the map and usually it takes a few hours to find someone
maybe 1 every 10 times it only takes a few minutes, but usually it still takes a few hours!

and now I have no idea what to do with this advice!

Sounds a bit strange, If you have outposts in some free citys you should find pvp in minutes bY jumping from op to op ...

You are searching for very special prey?

While I love the big size of current map, I am always in for a larger one... but...

somewhere devs have said the engine is limited to xxxx NPC simultaneously shipping around, so, with an even bigger map, that would mean more scarce traffic and more efforts for all of you to find your targets. Human or NPC alike.

Sounds to me like someone wants easy AFK trade routes in the open ocean with very low risk of attack and high reward. Basically Bermuda 2.0.

I think teleport might be a solution.

2 Maps: Caribbean and Europe.
