NPC Port Battles Explained. War server and Peace server information

Recommended Posts

Point is in a neutral or caputed port - if I recall correctly - you cannot use buildings, but they stay there. It's the same with port bonuses or they disappear when port becomes neutral? And … do the port bonus remain there in case another clan of the same nation (or of another nation) captures the port after it has gone neutral after a raid?

If they disappear, this raid thing sounds just a way to keep people grinding and regrinding things.

Sounds like a lot happened since 5 years ago in AI development; you should revisit NPC fights because "turning in circles" isn't all you will see.

Ai exists in films. In the real world we only have scripts. Even more, lot of times neither do you find the I in human players

Omg we have 2 pve sever now

This game has always been:

Peace:. PVE only server

War:. PVE with chance of PvP

You guys need to stop think of it as a PvP only server.  It never has been.  Yes you can level up off PvP only but even RvR has PVE element to it.

We can expect many useless ports to be abandoned and turned neutral within the first server maintenance ^^

Wouldn’t that not Chang anything as it goes after top three profitable ports?  We need a bit more details on this.

also not sure I like the numbers of ships and pints.  If they are all elite ships it’s going to be a bitch of a fight for most players

@admin

If would be interesting to know what happens to a) port bonus and upgrades, b) player buildings and c) players and clan warehouses if:

- the port becomes neutral

- the port is re-captured by the same clan that owned it before the raid

- the port is captured by another clan of the same nation

- the port is captured by a clan of a different nation

I think it's a great idea

Yes … punishing players in a game that struggles in retaining players is  actually a great idea.

Tu te diste un golpe en la cabeza ¿no? Espero que no fuera muy grave, por lo menos veo que puedes escribir, aunque no tenga sentido.

Raiders know how to fit the ships and will be very combat worthy

Will they be just like Elite AI?

Raider fleet usually will consist of 16-20 Lineships(escort) and 4-6 indiaman (transports) and will split into 2 groups attacking from 2 directions

What would be composition of that Lineships fleet, as there is some difference between 20*1st rates and 20*3rd rates. Also as I can understand the raid points marked on the map it's the starting point of their attack, yes?

Raiders will not fire at forts

Will forts fire at raiders?

Points cannot go down but you can slow down the point generation or avoid it by stopping the ships trying to reach the control points

Strongly against - when you can't turn battle to your favour, then make just 1 or 2 mistake and you are lost battle and port. And it's highly likely that these stupid mistakes will be made at first as no one knows what to do with NPC raids.

Also, how you can win that battle - only by destroying all AI,  by time or just sink enough ships, so they won't be able to earn 1000 points?

P.S. If you want more PVE on PVP server what about my idea of supply system described here?

This idea is only good if you waste your time only making PvE in war server. It is a respectable option, but im sure that the most PvP players of server are not agree with this "PvE port battles sistem"

PVE: Very interested in what will happen to things in our warehouse/ships that are docked etc. in ports that are turned neutral or neutral ports that are captured by another nation in PVE, just nice to know if I should get my stuff out of a port that's going to be attacked etc. or if it's safe. :)

PvE server version:

The fact devs intertwined the necessity of a port to be 'neutral' before any player nation can lay their hands on it, instead of direct attack on, say, a Spanish port, sounds to me like devs agree with my argument that international cooperation is necessary on PvE server for fighting NPC port battles - and we all can combine efforts against a neutral port, no nation (like Spanish in my example) thereby is excluded. Great.

Still, would suggest formal battle groups of international cooperation could be formed - just for PB - somehow in the game coding. All participants take over flag of the clan who opened hostilities against that port and therefore acts as the leader of that conquest attempt. Same for defense.
