camera in battle open fire

hello, is there any way to move the camera away when shooting? I would like to see the ship firing without having the cannon camera.

You can simply open fire and rapidly leave the broadside camera to see the effect in overview. That's usually what I do.

2/ when on parallel course & close enough without having to aim, just stay on "drone view" & hit full broadside key "[" or "]"

I think we have a freecam camera these days, I only discovered it yesterday so it might aswell been in the game from the start.

You can enter it by pressing the 'home' key on your keyboard, to regulate the speed at which the camera moves forward you can use the mousewheel. And to exit the mode you will find that pressing the 'home' key again will be most satisfactory.
