Fir fir trinc should have no problems reaching that speed.

We were approaching him at the beginning.Then he increased his speed to full speed and we lost him in the sight.and the fastest ship of our fleet was a 14 knot wasa with spanish rig.

looks more like an overall gameflaw due to player convenience that (modded) squarerigger can sail with those speeds close reached to close hauled.

Sure the wasa will go 14kn downwind (running) but not close reach especially with spanish rig

Oh the joys of insane speed mods, fir fir ships, and pirate/Spanish rig refits.

I think the speed at this angle should be about 80.8% of the maximum speed. 12.6 means that the maximum speed at this time is at least 15.59. I don't know if the combat configuration of trinc can achieve this speed. The speed of the Russian port is 3%.

pirate rigs and spanish refits cause this.. need to be checked again (even after upgrade nerfs)
