Building prices AGAIN

Are You serious?

250k Iron Ore, produces a HUNDRED ore per day?

It would take 5 DAYS of production to craft cannons for a L'Ocean.
Are You serious?


I don't even want to look at the other building cause I might just loose my temper...

the cheaper resources are less expensive - but it is certainly a high up-front cost. It forces people to make decisions as well as an incentive to defend your property. The level 2 and 3 of each building is when production really ramps up though. 

That being said - I agree on the side that the buildings are too expensive.

It is not a novelty that cooperation is key in multiplayer games, more so in Conquest driven clan warfare games.

If you say it take you 5 days to produce the complement of guns for a L'Ocean, then if 5 players cooperate, it becomes only 1 day.

Have not looked to the entire production line but fact is, cooperation has always been the key.

No need to lose temper :) At the very least, buy mediums and equip it.

Is the OP saying we should all have fully equipped Ocean's day 1?  Day 2?  Day 3?  I hope not that would be crazy and ruin the game.

I mean, what's the purpose of level one? 

Almost no extraction, for 250k. Why is it even there? 

If it's so irrelevant, why don't we start straight away from 750k and production of 1k? 

That's simply a bad design if You invest 1/3 of total price and get 1/10 of the production

F... joker, addict of this pay to win game.

Many players after 1 days, use now dlc 4 rank, and win in each battle, around 1000 too 2500 doublons( + rare book).

They have wipe the game for open the way of all the dlc buyers.

So

The price of buildings is expensive, yes. And no player, no group of players can sail a1st rate at day one. Well organized groups could probably craft first rates for some of their players in a week. But who will have the crew for a 1st rate in a week? 

Just consider that sailing the biggest ship is not the main target for everyone. Fun can be more easily found in 5th rates. Look at the Nassau Patrol Zone, it is the most fun one. 

It would be even more fun without the permit lottery, but this is another matter.

Even an independent player can have level 2 iron, level 2 coal and level 1 oak for crafting guns for an heavy frigate every day.

Meanwhile, many (new) players/clans will not or cannot participate in the rvr-stuff (they cannot invest or fully use their nation-ports).

Why is it again that you have to get on a friendly-list? What is the benefit of that exactly?

The benefit is to the clan who did the work and captured the port.  Why should you get all the benefits of someone else's investment?  I'm not entirely sure that I agree with a friends list for people because there could be personalities involved in this, but there has to be some form of compensation and/or profit to the owning clan.  What I suggested long ago is that any national player can make a one-time payment to the owners for access rights.  And it should be hefty, in order to reflect the initial investment by the owners.  Once you have invested in a port, you are more likely willing to help defend it.

Its so funny to see people on here complaining about prices being so high....  and then logging on to see players bragging in GLOBAL chat about how they just made ANOTHER million reales in an hour....

Many of us just want to fight (or hunt), and with trading now a waste it's kinda boring to just do cargo/passenger missions.  I combine it the two by escorting my traders and getting some hunting in with the trade mission.  High prices means high value, which gives satisfaction from accomplishment.  For me anyway...but I was never a "Legends" fan.

Yep...   I hate doing trade runs and missions.   I do just enough to be able to keep myself supplied with "stuff" and stay in the good graces of the shipbuilder.  

I think this week is when we'll start seeing some useful building materials in the traders along with all the junk "missions" (although stealing passengers is good right now with so many ports still open)....

I'm sure it was self-defence (catch me in a trader..)!  My point is that the game we have requires an investment in time...Whether you are hunting in enemy waters or doing trade in order to support your hunting/RVR.  The people who complain about prices don't want to spend the time to make the money, and while I understand that feeling, it is life in NA and I don't want it changed.

I Totally agree.

Naval Action is not a game to download and play in the subway while coming back home from work. This is a hobby. Consuming time. Investment, long term actions worth. I will sink you from times to times when I'll decide to attack your nation's main town instead of defending in KPR in the first DLC ship. Or when I'll decide to sail more expensive ships or (...), which is my secret and time/resource consuming plan. I won't succeed with any short term plan. As you can't sink me without some preparation (which takes time and resources). Your Pirate Frigate, before wipe, was wisely prepared, wasn't she?

Very.  T/WO, Purple, Carta, copper, elite Spanish etc...15.5 with a stack of reps on board.  It's how a raider fights on his own terms. (but gear doesn't matter, lol)

Just teach me how to make one million reales in an hour, I promise I give you half.

I find the building prices to be silly and unbalanced. Non port bonus shipyards should cost much lower. We want new guys to start crafting small ships, buildings should be more accessible.

I agree that rare wood farms and port bonus shipyards to cost much more. I do not like simple farms / mines etc. costing high.

I do not like the fact that there is no real trade is left, but all generic or cargo missions.

Talk to some Dutch dude named Protaenix or something like that....  he was the one claiming it.

I just did about 4 hours of boring "missions" the first night and ended up with a bit under 500k and 3000 dubs...  that was without "ginding"....   I guess it depends on what you want from the game....
