Your current wipe done nothing beside securing Brits and and American shores from rides,because of port timers I cant really atack any port because I'm living in states .so I suggest following changes , la navasse must be neutral also st marys on USA coast, because of different time zones where players live , I suggest permit to ride a town , permit could be bought in any free town , imidietly owner of a permit can do pb , if a team wins , they take all ships and resources from players whs as well as clan whs, also every town will pay ransom depands on size of a town, rided town for 8 hrs become neutral than it get back to its owners , no free town can be rided , this could bring fun back to the game and bring tears to big clans , problem of na is u made rules , less the rules more the fun , also bring back smuggler flag atack mode and turning into pirate mode.thx queen 007

Idea is really simple,  every town excluding free towns can be ride and loot, including capitols like kpr , loot would be what town generates from sales tax plus everyone resources from their whs plus clan whs, plus all player ships, its obvious everyone will try to keep ships and resources in free towns but crafting bonuses will not be obtain in free towns , so players will create convoys bringing resources in and out to free towns, more pvp, beside riders which conquer the town must sail out resources and ships they conquer,  but they cant destroy anything on a dock   whatever is left after 8 hrs gets back to players who owned it before , when it comes to rare wood and things like copper etc everyone could produce some as offset of regular production let's say 10% beside more pvp could occure if grinders due to safety reason will keep ships in free ports, and there will be a lot less of domination of big clans ,it could be a lot of fun and pvp for every time zone and single players no matter if u play often or from time to time, its pvp , I dont have a time to sail 2rate from la tortuge to Belize to find British grinder who thinks he is safe due to sailing distance and far frontier

I agree with the concept of having la navasse and a port on east coast as free towns.  During USA times, the main factions are pirates, USA, GB.  Playing as French is now very boring since you have to sail alot to get to the USA players or to the GB players.  This removes content and is detrimental.  The idea of a raid of specific towns can be a very interesting concept to implement and would add fun and excitement.

So how will the raid work if there are other clans at a particular port who have warehouses? 
Does winning the pb mean that you can immediately open a outpost in order to transfer the spoils to or are you limited to move stuff out in the ships that participated in the battle?
Being able to raid a port and then send in a transport is a little goofy and will cause a lot of grief. More so if you can raid the port and then return at a later time to more out more resources.
Also being able to instantly attack a port without generating hostility (thus giving the defenders a chance to respond) is nothing more than reintroducing "night flipping".


TheLoneWolf - if you wanted to attack GB / USA / PR then maybe (since you would have known where the french start at) you should have chosen a different nation. Picking a nation that begins on the far side of the map from your desired enemies was a fault of your own making and not the game mechanics.

Well, nation choice was some time ago and no perks were given with new rules and port wipe.  Our problem may soon be solved however.

Yeah it doesn't make sense that freetowns hand out hostility missions right now. Seeing as how some nations have free towns 2 minutes from their capital and others are 2 hours away and in shallows. Need serious re-balancing to this new front line mechanic. 

An interesting idea would be allowing clans or nations to raid a port, then after the successful raid they can initiate a port battle which will occur 23 hours later. 

The capital only method is dumb. It allows clans to secure entire regions in one uncontested battle. Every port should be attackable if you have a staging point withing range. 

We also need to encourage clans to secure regions so that they don't just rush capitals like we've seen over the past week or so. Perhaps each port in a region produces a resource that is needed for crafting ships and cannon, and when you capture that port and own the capital you are able to construct a resource farm in the capital. This would save people from having to make time wasting sails between ports to gather the basic crafting items. Seeing as how in history a major city would have access to things like; Coal, Iron, Oak, Hemp, etc.

This could be integrated into the already great port management system. And would ideally cost more money and labor hours than just simply having a building at the source port.

Due to port timers and north America time zones game in current model become senseless,  there is nothing u can do , same with rare woods and refits mats , now Russians have exclusive on white oak , carta tar, and copper, and players from America cant do anything about it, Brits will safely grind in zones beyond reach of anyone, so either dev's change cost of port timers to 10 million a day or apply rides , exemple clan buy permit in free town to ride kpr, imidietly they can sail and do pb if they win kpr become neutral for 8 hrs loot whs will appear in town accessible by anyone from winning nation , in whs all players resources and their ships appear , , looting nation can use India and fleet perks to move from town anything they want, brits can attack them and try to regain ships or Matt's while enemy try to move it out , whatever is left in loot whs after 8 hrs go back to admiralty store ,and kpr gets back to brits again , money loot comes from tax generated by city sells , all of this will create lots of pvp riding and looting a city is not permanent take over , it will be lots of fun and tears ,but this is pvp game and this will give every player an equal chance of fun dispite timezones , it is not a game where u r safe in reality towns were rided dispite hour of a day , surprise creative out of a box inciatives gave rewards in loot 😂🤣😉
