I m not sure this will be a good idea, perhaps it will be better to lower the drop, but give solo pve players some chance to have rare materials too.

Just my opinion (and i m playing in a clan)

Yeah i would let this route open as well but wouldnt mind more effort to actual get them. Currently its really easy.

We answer questions honestly and directly and you attacking us for this? We do not know where the prices will stabilize as we increased supply of doubloons. Currently we think theyare ok as clans ha

did a group mission yesterday, 1st rate type. Only 1 guy took the group mission. If everyone would have taken them they all could have claimed the rewards. (6000 dubs each mission, max 6 players)

Unfortunately every mission rewards are to be split. So if every one gets 1k, it would require Your group to repeat it 30 times for a single first rate to every participant.

Isn't that a bit too much for a ship You could loose in single port battle...

As you can understand, that is too time consuming and potentially frustrating (because of luck) for a playerbase which doesnt think of a game as a second job.

It may be a good way of playing for some roleplaying rovers of the sea though.

@admin should not forget that his target should be the average player with 2-3 hours every day. And the fact that rvr fuels pvp.

F.uck rvr and the other related activities will drop too. I believe the drop on population after patch 27 proved enough my point.

Lets not repeat past mistakes, again.

Sure I understand. But I also hope you understand that is a personal choice. And your personal choice cannot be plastered across the other players faces.

I won't touch NA if i don't have 2 hours spare. And that's a rule i set to myself. If i get caught into battle I will have to surrender as i cannot spare the time :) So why fire up NA with less than that ?

As a example, I logged in just now, sailed into a enemy controlled area, lots of french ports. Attacked 2 LGVs AI.

1st one had sabicu and caguarian, and some trade goods, 2nd one had Oak and doubloons.

That was done in 30 minutes. I would have 90 minutes to spare to sail the woods from my outpost to my shipyard base.

Is okay for me, an average player.

I personally think rate woods should still drop in AI traders, but in small enough numbers where it’s good enough for solos to build frigates now and then.

Edit:  was typing while admins post showed up.

@admin Any chance of adjusting the prices? What are Your thoughts on that topic?

I'd really like to avoid 10h grind for a ship which I risk permanently loosing in a single port battle...

Equipped, and refitted top line T/WO L'Ocean will cost about 50.000 Doubloons now... That's kind crazy...

it will happen but much less. 500 live oak is a lot of doubloons these days.

Can you please let us know how we are supposed to find out that an enemy port has one of there rare woods forest available via exploration, as I have explored many ports during my trading and I have only ever seen these forests as missions in friendly ports. There appears to be no other indication that these forests exist, so I fail to see how it is supposed to drive RvR?

It is a good reason to get involved in RvR then.

Thanks.

It's a good reason, but it would require too much.

RvR was already a bit "elite". Now You want people who never cared about it, grind about twice as much to get involved?

You're kidding me. Even if You manage to get 4000 Doubloons per hour by beeing very lucky with RNG (which is also a problem) it would require You to 10 hours grind for a single ship.

Now find 15 people like this.

And now imagine You lost the port battle and You have to do it once again. You sure all 15 will care to grind again?

Don't get me wrong. I like the idea of changes. But side effects caused by the values are bit too tough and too expensive.

And ports no longer will generate reals on the woods so why would You care to upkeek the cost of the timer?

As I said earlier - it will be much cheaper and much easier to just strike a deal with the owner rather than fight for the port.

We do not know the direction of the final price (yet)
Top clans had 45 mln doubloons in their clan warehouses (this is excluding! what players have on them) before the patch
Mission rewards were increased
Deliveries were introduced
Players can always fallback on oak/oak which is freely available

Based on numbers of doubloons in the system numbers did not seem crazy at all. But we will see.

RvR is already enough time demanding, do you know?

Shouldn't be new to you that @admin wants us to give up jobs and social live just to play Naval Action.

I will stay playing until release... and then i will see how far i can get wich ~10h Playtime a Week. I think i'll get annoyed because it is impossible to log in, have 45-90min of PvP fun and go back to life. To me it looks impossible to even get resources for one proper ship weekly, so eventually i get rid of ships.

I think, that would be the time to listen to my girlfriend and stop playing forever (she says i lost control over my life with NA).

RVR isn't harder. Just use cag/oak l'oceans if you're so iffy about the price of deliberately rare woods. The idea of having a 1st rate with inferior woods shouldn't be unthinkable post-releaseWipe. The lo/wo 3/5 santis of the past will become the cag/sab santis of tomorrow.

If you really really want to use only lo/wo and t/wo 1st rates then by all means don't participate. The third class citizens (shit-wood 1st rates) will take that place in the "seaciety".

I for one like the changes.

It's ok I'm sure players with alts in foreign nations will find them quicker then most. Will people then RVR or just park there and if possible farm the wood and transport to other character...obviously clan control limits this to a degree..i guess

just so i get this right:

you do dont even know the direction (as in ballpark number) you would like to be prices at

you dont really seem to understand the effects the changes you do on the economy

yet we are blessed with random changes to a complex system  - what good can possibly come from this?

no offense but how do you expect any1 to have faith  that in the end there will be a working system?

1) come up with an idea of where you want shit to be

2) come up with settings (numbers, percentages,...) that work in theory to get the system there

3) try how those settings work out in reality (on the server - with actual ppl "messing with the system")

4) evaluate the result possibly tweak numbers...

I found out how to see where they are when you visit a port you check the top left port info tab and it shows the resources under clan resources. So you need to get traders out there checking enemy ports

I thought expensive big ships was working exactly as intended?

If working as intended means a dead RVR system with no incentives and using 1st rates to gank AI ships in capital zones...then yes.

I miss the days when we have multiple full first rate battles and folks didnt have to worry about replacing them.  Just go have fun.  But for some reason that wasn’t immersive enough

Now 1st rates will be hard to get, easy to lose and the PB BR system still heavily favors bringing the biggest ship you can.  What a well thought out system...

For example, I havent crafted any ship that required doubloons since patch 27

Same here. All I lost meantime were the ships from before the reform.

And when I wanted to rebuild some, it appeared they'll be soon gone by wipe so I'll stay with the one I currently have.

Well, that may be bit misleading as most people had plenty of ships when doubloons happened, so it was easier to stockpile them.

What I'd rather look at is, how many hours would it take to grind 50.000 Doubloons using various activities (ai rng loot, missions, group missions)

All those changes looks great (especially the fact that alts are useless now) but don't hide it behind the grind wall.

I know there are new ways of getting doubloons, but if I need to sail 10h for pax missions, or repeat 20 times the group mission, that's not gonna be fun...

You clearly have no idea what are You talking about.

I thought dozens of battles with budget 1st rates and I can tell You this:

If You're taking out a budget ship out for a Port Battle You can actually not bother anyway, and leave the battle empty.

The difference between luxury woods and common ones is so big, that it's pretty much waste of time.

Every screening with budget 1st rates was pretty much guaranteed we are not coming back.

Don't even want to think how would it look like in a Port Battle.

We do not know where the prices will stabilize as we increased supply of doubloons. Currently we think theyare ok as clans have so much doublooons that they wont spend them in a year

If you continue posting your way i will remove you from here.
