Those who are interested in the Spanish ships, I recommend reading the following books. Some of them can be find in free access in the Internet.

GLORIOSO

(Nuestra Señora de Belén)

70 guns in two decks ship of the line - 1740 - La Habana

28 guns in the first deck (24lb); 30 in the second deck (18lb); other 10 guns in the stern casstle (8 or 6 lb) plus 2 stern guns (?)*.

Plano-Navio.jpg

Even though its a 74 ship of the line plan, Glorioso has practically the same shapes.

History:

The Glorioso was one of the most emblematic ships of the Royal Spanish Armada, protagonist of the Voyage of the Glorioso (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyage_of_the_Glorioso)

Glorioso was two ships. One launched in 1740 at the shipyard of  Habana, sistema  Gaztaneta.  Another in 1755 at the shipyard of Ferrol and were treated to a series of "dose Apostoles" 68/70canones.

Your proposed plan is navío Monarca (1794) and refers to a series of San Ildefonsinos. Glorioso and Monarca share 50 years of evolution.

I think San Juan Nepomuceno would be a wonderful ship to have in Naval Action.

Just read the story of Churruca (Nepomuceno's captain) and you'll realize why. Men back in those days had more balls than we have today.
