Temporary contract changes - MONDAY 29 Oct

Recommended Posts

To provide smooth and easy material conversion within couple of days we will issue a hot fix for live servers and apply following TEMPORARY changes

  • Number of allowed buy/sell contracts and ships on sale will be set to 0 (no more new contracts)
  • Number of days contract can stay live will be set to 1 (1 day)

This changes will stay until the Port UI and material conversion is deployed / applied; these changes will be reverted after the patch.

It is advisable to not set a lot of new contracts before the patch and claim all resources that are held in unclaimed contracts.

Contract hotfix will happen on Monday 29th October

Interesting. Going to be a hectic market for however long this lasts.

And I agree with @Mr Pellew sell contracts going to get pretty screwed up. But if it means patch is coming soon then I don't mind.

they will expire in 1 day after hot fix is deployed.

It won't ruin just trading, clans owning many ports will pay millions for maintenance of ports because contracts as the main income source are covering it. Just wait to watch clans pay 5-7m per day.

@admin he's got a point that it will cost a lot of clans money.   Maybe suspend port cost for that time and I would even say suspend RvR.  Make a good post to let every know know what the expect for the patch and allow them the day or two to do last minute stuff before the hotfix drops and than the day or two for the patch.  A lot of folks aren't checking in every day cause they to put it pretty bluntly, "Gave up on this patch coming any time soon."  So don't screw over the ones that are still around and playing.

I think he means the contracts changes will be within a few days

True, but natural follow up would be the implementation of the patch.

Honestly, can't imagine how the game will look like if no-contracts mode would be prolonged.
Few days maximum, otherwise it will be chaos.

Going to be fun if no contracts will be available to put new hull repairs in the port ;)

So no removal of all assets when the game releases as well !? Or...

Apples and oranges.  Don’t distort what points they are trying to make here by being a homer.

Release and full wipe is months away.  Maybe.

If contracts are stopped for a while and ports make little to no income this could adversely effect some clans.  This needs to be a quick bang bang transition or port costs need to be suspended.

You don't own any ports do you?

If there is any problems and this doesn't go down in a day or two of warning than that can add up real fast.  My clans ports currently pay for them self cause one makes money others that could be a very big chunk of change.  Specially if it doesn't work a day or two later and or the patch gets dragged out.  This patch was suppose to be ready months ago but look where we are now, it's pretty much November and we still don't have full UI patch (it was brought up last year and mention 30-40 days from April......This sure as hell is not April any more).

Correct. Temporary. Further... Any clan  can stop paying for them at any time...
