The Ship Comparison tool may have some tweaks, with my super skills I did this state of the art drawing ;)  , btw incredible work with the map !

* Like to see fastest point of sail for the selected ship with the heading.

* Like to see best and worst point of sail with the compared ships.

* Like to see colours like green, red, blue or whatever best to easly see overlapping areas, I find it a bit difficult with similiar colour tones.

* Like to see wind arrow, and headings for reference lines.

Some harbours show the informations "trading company level 2" and "labour hours discount" ... what does it mean exactly and in numbers ???

  • Trading outpost: Increase production of all resources (level 1 +20%, level 2 +40%)

  • Labour hours: Decrease labour hours cost for all crafting items (level 1 –20%, level 2 –40%)

Oh, I love the grid. We're going to lose F11 coords in the future so I'll use that a lot.

It could be an idea to copy the in-game map grid to your map to better be able to place markers for treaure fleets and wrecks. Not to replace the "correct" grid but as an option, maybe?

"flashing" chunks when zooming in and out

What is flashing? Can you record it on video?

Here are the results of "stress test":

The map is split up in tiles of 256x256 pixels. Five tile set are used at different resolutions (depending on the zoom level). The browser has to load the tiles from cache or network at least once to display. Loading takes time as you can see in your video. After being loaded the tiles are kept in memory and are displayed more or less instantly.

I will check how to preload the tiles. Might not be feasible though.

Work around for now: move slowly and be patient ;)
