What the hell Devs? Adding items to ports to boost clan tax oncome

AHOY received 14 million, because the players bought and sold goods on 207 million.

I have an issue with 1000 or whatever number of extra items being spawned in and whoever the holding clan being able to keep the cash.

Okay admin your helping the server but then remove the extra generated tax

Are you honestly suggesting that your one port should be generating 14mill in tax per day. When others are only generating 1-2mill a day!!!

Welcome to Economics 101. If a single location is selling one of a kind items then it will generate a massive amount of income from sales. If the Tar is selling on the EU server like it is on the Global then it is not surprising that if there were a sudden influx of resources generated that would fill all the current contracts on hand it would result in a very large amount of taxes being generated. 

So my question for you Monk33y, if your clan held the port and the revenue was delivered to you, would you be asking the devs to take the "extra" money? Don't accuse the devs of favoritism without evidence. And if you're wondering, this situation is not anything more then supply and demand. Any clan of sufficient size can capture that port and reap the income from the sale of the tar. If you do not like the British holding on to it, take it from them.

If there is no problem AHOY being gifted resources and tax income. GIFT ALL PORTS THE SAME RESOURCE 

The problem Is that a single clan benefits instead of every clan...

Well not really, you could have camped the port in a smuggler trader because it was announced in public that there was going to be cartagena tar supply. And cartagena tar spawns in cartagena :) Why not take the port off them if you want it so badly?

Cartagena will be "gifted" tar continuously, the actual amount is up to Clan AI.

Either buy or conquer are your choices.

So now you are forewarned, make good on that knowledge.

Cart Tar don't protect your mast and also doesn't make you a better player. Last SOL port battle I was in I took a L'Ocean with my Vict after the port battle.  Funny thing exact same builds and what he didn't know "I WAS OUT OF REPAIRS."   If he just engaged me instead of trying to run he would of had me beat, but no I strip his sails down enough I could get next to him and boarded him.   No marines no board mods just prep and beat him.   So yah Tar doesn't make you a better player if you still suck at the game.

I do feel some items really need more than one place to get them or more drops of them in those ports.  That are just limit those contracts to only 10 at a time so others can get contracts filled too.

While I'm on GLOBAL, that one port still makes a killing compared to any other port on the map.  There really should be more than one MAJOR income port and thought they where going to move all those to the middle not the outskirts of the map.

Haha love the whining. And to sink them you gotta be better than them and I don't see that lol. If you were good enough to sink ahoy and her allies, Britain wouldnt own half the map. In fact I'm sailing a Cartagena l'ocean right now that I took from a Dane with a bellona during a battle alongside my friends in ahoy. thanks btw nicely built ship!

Half of you lot are missing the point...

I care nothing of AHOY or the British!

I care that the Devs are interfering with the economys of the eu server. Right now other nations are alot weaker than the British. Yet the British are receiving extra goods. 

Personally if the Devs feel the British are being so hard done by that they require hand outs, as owning 50-100+ ports means the British are hard done by then so be it.

MY ISSUE IS WITH ALLOWING A CLAN TO KEEP 14MILLION IN TAXES WHEN THE PORT HASNT GENERATED OVER 2MILLION PER DAY IN TAX.

If the British are being so hard done by the they require tar hand outs, what about the usa,French, sweeds,vp,Daines,pirates,Spanish who don't have automatic access to the tar??

yep, I'd look at spreading out the rare upgrade materials a bit around the map. They also need to only appear in conquerable ports. Look at any unscrupulous behaviour also, super high sell orders which can be deleted when it's quiet and then filled at a lower price. I'm quite happy with the ability for players to keep outbidding on items they want if it's all within the rules of course. Manipulation needs stamping on , this patch has been great so far, lets not let the tar tards ruin it for all

lol I seldom sink and I'm not whining.. Read my posting again mate - my contempt for the brits in general goes back a lot longer than just the cartagena tar.. In principle I can't say that the tar makes any difference.. It's an OP upgrade but not the make all - end all upgrade that some seem to think it is..

hello kitty the money, devs just gave brits 1k tar. You usually see rare resources like tar and crooked drop once or maybe twice a day for between 5 and 10 pieces- Devs just gifted brits a ~125 day bonus to the most sought after RvR mod in the game. hello kitty the money, and hello kitty the devs. You want to know how to kill a game? Have devs pick a side in a war and supply their pet.

To be honest its a little bit our own fault to, the brits conquered for recoursses first when every other nation was more interested in a clean home area i guess. For the US the example would be guacata (the one for the penetration update in a "lake" inside florida), and here there is a even worse problem you can not get hostillity missions for the harbour. But of course it is bad that one clan gets money and goods but we are also here to test the economy so the devs can see what works and what not. This case it wasnt working and got some kind of a hotfix so it wont block the whole testing.

Honestly the items need to fill contracts and spawn in the shop too to be fair to all .

This is what i've said over and over and over ( despite the fact that i have the upgrades myself - it is just very bad for the game and balance ) but i guess it wont change... lets just hope Legends is ready sooner rather than later so the few hardcore players can rot with their exploit gold and exclusive upgrades in OW while the serious PvP players can enjoy balanced battles in Legends...
