I'm starting another campaign and had some, perhaps, final thoughts on this wonderful game, or maybe better said suggestions for the next one.

  1. Ability to view the historical battles as they actually unfolded. This may be too difficult to do because of the chance outcomes of each engagement event and having to script it, but it could be a fantastic learning tool. Might require a team-up with a sponsor like American Battlefield Trust or similar.
  2. Ability to play through the various minor battles of the campaign with historical troops and commands outside of the campaign. Would require work to study who the commands were and their strengths and weaponry at the time of that battle.
  3. A randomized battle simulator to add some replay-ability and some unpredictability. For example, if you know the history of what happened and the terrain of the big battles, there is little surprise and little sense of what a field commander would have had to deal with deploying troops and grasping the terrain and where the enemy would come from. Maybe you could have options to select the relative balance of troops engaged to make it easier or harder. Terrain would be randomized.
  4. I've seen people suggest multiplayer and thought it would be difficult to do. It could be done, however, but obviously the timing would have to be synchronized so maybe it's always at regular speed but each player gets one "slow down/half speed" to use for 30 seconds during each battle. It would simulate the chaos of battle pretty well.

Thank you for this wonderful game. I've uninstalled and re-installed several times to play it back !

I have some ideas for you to consider:

- Just like we're adding troops to a brigade, can we please reduce it also? That will help for me to have a unit at the exact size of my expensive rifles...

- It's great to have so much customization of a unit, can we have special customization on uniforms? Like black hats for "Iron Brigade"? Or a bunch of different clothes southern  rookies ?

-Can we add a bunch full of men for "General's Bodyguards" unit? 50 strong at most.

-Can we have specialists traits for Division's Generals as well?

-Can we decorate our Brigades's a medal for special behaviours during battle? Like "Bravery Merit" for standing 10 flanking shots with 2 enemy brigades , "Assault's Badge" for frontal assault to artillery brigade, or "Assasins Medal" for sniping down an entire brigade on the back?

Thank you!

I like the first and last idea, the decrease option can be very handy in order to fit a smaller brigade according to the rifles available.

Last idea could be implemented automatically, like when a unit kills x amount of enemies, holds the line without routing for x amount of time and x amount of battles. Suffered x amount of casualties. Which then would result in a medal or award.
