If you're fishing for if the pirate mechanics allow us to deny you the ability to run hostility on our ports then yes it does. But we haven't. That seems unfair. Is this from dealing with SORRY? We don't do anything that seems non-legit.

I'm fishing. But not for cheaters or such. Rather to see if it is possible to create a watertight game mechanic for hostility grinding.

So far our actions (on both sides) around Sant Iago have been very good in my opinion. We sail in a fleet, you counter with something bigger and chase us off. We come back with something bigger and you bring out the really big guns to chase us off again. (Did cost me my redeemable Surprise...)

But very little actual combat. Almost all of it was fleet maneuvering. Personally I like that, but I reckon other folks will have different opinions.

@admin, as long as grinding can be indirectly influenced instead of by direct PvP/RvR action, we should look for different mechanics. I think the trick still is here to have the game actually do nothing, but count up the BR presence. Then again that might only serve fleet maneuvering.

I'm not a fan of the AI hostility grinding. They need to take out the pirate ability to attack other pirate AI completely. I'd love a blockade style hostility generation. A few hours with max BR to 6 hours minimum BR. I hate killing AI. But we would never grab the pirate NPC's to keep you from hostility. We'd just get a group to come kill you.

Please provide screenshots of these chat conversations and send them over to @Ink.  If you need help setting up a successful tribunal post I suggest taking a look at this one that was created against the US alt that you personally used to hide in battle with for about an hour last weekend and avoid a screening fleet.  That alt was banned for 2 weeks and was confirmed to be a pirate alt.  

Until that tribunal post goes up I suggest you don't make baseless accusations.  I believe @admin did say those are punishable.

It wasn't my alt, as confirmed by ink.  Though if you got pics of this supposed discord chat I'd like to see them.  Frankly I wouldn't of made the sail all the way up from the gulf just to see you guys tag an alt and hide in battle for an hour.  Watching one of you lose a santi was almost worth it though.  

And your clan was involved in tagging a pirate alt that was just banned for tampering with a PB.  One of your officers (i think) actually tagged that alt.  A fleet that was mostly made up by members of your clan was inside of that battle and benefitted from the tag and they also benefitted from the marks they received after getting into the PB.

I believe that is called cheating.  

Anyway, see you guys tonight.  Bring your aggies and your alts.

You'll have to show me where that was confirmed by Ink. We wondered why that guy didn't leave battle. We goaded him through PM's till we figured he didn't look at them and then goaded him in battle chat. And yet again you're calling us cheaters when I know for a fact it wasn't one of our alts. Gettin really tired of hearing that word. It's becoming harassment on global chat and now in the forums too. So I'll present it the same as you. Give me proof or STFU.

And no need to involve our alts. Later you'll see the full power of the pirate nation no matter how many lame ass screeners you bring with you mega nation. Way to rank up from the 2nd highest population side to the highest. Shows a lot about your character.

And yet it doesn't say what faction that alt was from... Hmmm. That would explain the warning we got from a random Brit that Brits were coming. That would also explain the rumors that Daniel Silver was a VCO/TF alt since he made an ageement for US territory in exchange for Brit assisstance. Now let's see if US wants their ports back. Because we found our new nemesis and we always like to take what that nemesis gained. Unfortunately we care nothing about holding that territory so maybe the US wants it after we rip it away from you @Christendom. Thanks for giving us an objective.

Agreed, the people involved and sitting in the battle for a full hour should receive some sort of penalty.  Just like the cap francais SORRY battle, not everyone involved knew it was a setup.  Myself included.  Though all parties involved received some form of punishment for going through with the fight, which I thought was fair.  Anyone who sat inside that battle with the pirate alt at Savannah should be subjected to some sort of punishment for being apart of the crime.  After a little while it was obvious that this was an arranged thing.  

Either punish all the parties involved or return the port back to the US since it was obviously taken with unfair tactics.

So now you are deflecting?  Trying to say Daniel Silver is a VCO or TF alt.  LOL that is rich.  Next you will be saying Lionshaft is an alt.  

All of this is getting pretty comical.   Just accept that one of your members got caught and punished, accept it and move on.

Hay now I don't make useless post thought, mine tend to deal with game mechanics when I make them.  Now my post are some times on the side of flat out addiction, but hay when your retired and don't have anything else to do I forum whore....lol

I did take yesterday off from the game to do other things.  I'm sure every thing ran just fine in game and on here without me.

It's very hard to ban some one just off an IP.  Cause most of them are shared for the most part and can change mullti times when you log in over and over.  The only thing mine would say is my provider is the same except my three pirates are all logged in from the same machine so they will matched up. Some one else might use other means.  The proof in that post was about the deeds of that once char.  It didn't prove who he was other than he used the system in a means not intended.   Though I think what got him found guilty was who ever it was changed his char name and such.  HE should of just keeped it the same and said he was clueless if he was realy a noob, than again only like 10% of the players actualy get on these furoms and post

There is a reason we haven't posted a tribunal about the alt that we suspect as a BRIT/TF alt in pirates.  We want to make sure we have all the proof gather on him and his alt when we make it.  Not just tossing out blind accusations.   Again doing so without proof is very much against the forum/game rules.

I would advise folks to read the actual game rules.   Accusing some one in game and on the forums without proof is against the rules.   Let me add two more rules certain folks in here have been breaking over and over in the forums and Game.

I'm really hoping @Ink and @admin stick to there standards when these players are being reported.   The name calling, slander and accusations are getting a bit out of hands by parties that don't have proof to back them.   Those are forms of both personal attacks and accusations of exploiting/cheating fall under these rules. Yes I report you ever time I see such actions in global chat and now on here.

As a moderator for most MMOs ban a player based off of IP.  Having been a moderator in the past, I had the power to forward character ID# to the senior Moderator who had access to the IPs and MACIP of accounts, and could MACIP ban an account if it becomes an issue.  Which is a difficult ban to avoid.  

But again getting off topic. 

 

And slow down your typing, not sure what a furom is but it sounds like someplace I want to avoid.

Of course it was a Spanish Alt.  This is all part of Spain's master plan to hide in plain sight as alts of all other nations and seed discontent from within so they can then take over the server without having to fire a single shot.

 Did we not say we would be using http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/21457-remove-basic-cutters-from-pvp/ for discussion over that Tribunal?

In both cases the inventive for playing out such tactics needs to be removed from the game.

In the first case of hiding with a cutter, the incentive to a PB fleet is to arrive at a certain time at a certain place. This can be partially countered with a two hour active flag. Although you can still hide a large part of your PB fleet in a battle instance. Probably (and hopefully) if you add to that the PB fleet group that must sail with the flag, that problem would be eliminated as well. (Fingers crossed)

In this case grinding hostility must not depend on a mechanic that can be interfered through with anything but PvP combat.
