[DICS] Denmark-Norway (Danmark-Norge) PVP Global

Recommended Posts

Greetings skippers!

Are you new to the game?  Maybe, you're a returning vet and can't find your former ship mates? Found your current nation or clan stale or cliquey? Maybe you long for something different but can't quite put your finger on it.  If any of these slightly describe you, then I have excellent news for you!

The reimagined Danish Cut Throat Syndicate has re-established herself as a force in Denmark-Norway (Danmark-Norge) on the Global PVP server and is looking for able-bodied Captains of all ranks and nations!  If you enjoy challenging gameplay, PVP, and sailing with some of the finest and most helpful sailors in the Caribbean, then DICS is likely the home you've always been longing for.

  • Who we are: Started as a group of friends we're a small, multi-national, and friendly gaming clan whom have a passion for Naval Action and having fun
  • What we do: We enjoy the very best of Naval Action and as such engage in Open World PVP, RvR, open world commerce, shipwrighting, and nation building
  • What we expect: In order to help Denmark/Norway thrive, we actively help our sailors acquire ships, wealth, experience, and knowledge.  As a clan that pools resources for the betterment of its sum, we humbly ask our members to actively participate in most every aspect of Naval Action clan life.  This may include commerce raiding, collecting resources, making war, crafting ships and parts, escorting traders, etc.,
  • Who we're looking for: All ranks, nationalities, and levels of active Captains are welcome!  We're no stranger to helping Captains gain: levels, renown, wealth, ships, more advanced sailing techniques that experienced skippers live and sink others by

BEST CLAN EVER! O7 Salute!!

Not only are they an awesome group of guys that have been nothing less than helpful and friendly to me they're also a mutli-gaming community. Not only do I consider them a good group of guys in Naval Action but now i have friends to play my other games with and ones I am most excited for ( Star Citizen HeHeHe). It's nice to know i'm in a community now and not just a clan from naval action! Thank you Cutthroats!

I joined this clan after coming back to the game after a year long layoff.  I did not have a ton of experience and these guys took me in, showed me all the changes to the game, taught me to trade, not to mention supplied me with the biggest ship I could crew at all times for free.  These guys have been top notch and I could not have asked for a better group.

I recently returned to NA after a break, and joined ICS and France after my US clan left for Great Britain. I have never regretted that choice. There are so many things that make this clan stand out, especially if you've had unpleasant clan-related experiences in the past.

-First, this clan plays together. I joined NA to be in the big port battles and fights with and against other people. There has not been a day that invites are not going out. You can be as involved as you'd like to be in whatever part of the game you enjoy. We do things with other players in ICS.
-This clan will have your back. Ships, cash, resources, labor hours, advice, good company, whatever. This clan embodies the maxim, "When in doubt, help a brother out.". They'll help you get started and help keep you sailing and busy. Great people every single one.

I've never regretted making that LONG sail from the eastern US to French waters with only a Surprise and few coins in my hold. I haven't enjoyed NA so much since the day I bought it. THIS is the way the game is meant to be played.

TLDR - I heartily and enthusiastically endorse this product and/or service.

I returned to Naval Action a month ago and joined ICS on a whim. It was a stroke of luck. I wasn't a very good player, having only done PvE last year. They didn't care. They were more than happy to sail with me and teach me the ropes, such as how to manual sail and line sail. More than that, they made it fun! My first night back, everyone piled into some 5th rate fleet battles, and I got to line sail against superior numbers for the first time. It was a total blast. In the days that followed, a fellow national named Solas (French, BORK) put out a hit order on ICS (at the time we were French too). The Vic he promised as bounty was never paid out! Something to remember for anyone considering dealing with the French. We got targeted in a big way for a couple days. I wound up in a fight against experienced Brit player Sid Barrett (who I must tip my hat to, respectful when he had the upper hand and graceful in defeat). Got my butt handed to me, but eventually managed to escape the battle. Amadeus (DICS) and Aristocat (French, unclanned) responded and counter-jumped. It was my first taste of PvP, and it was great! Shortly after, I got to see what RvR can be like in a Port Battle against the Dutch, and learned just how effective a group with organized comms can be. Tales of Yoda's trading adventures and brawling in Indiamen were great fun. I was hooked.

Basically, it doesn't matter your play-style, this clan has something for you. PvP, PvE, trading, crafting, you'll find your sweet spot. We've organized trading convoys halfway across the map to get resources to build the ships we want, in the builds we want. We all hang out in TeamSpeak. It makes coordinating during battles against AI or players very helpful. It's fun to get to know the players you're sailing with. Something else this clan does different, is that we all pool resources. Shit happens, people get capped, people get sunk... but as long as you're trying and learning, we're more than happy to get everyone back on their feet and back in the game. It's stupid to nickel and dime clan or nation members over resources or ships. Everyone is better off if you don't. DICS have some of the most generous, experienced, and helpful players around. So whether you're a new player or a grizzled veteran who just wants some friendly folks to sail with, check us out.

The only negative I have experienced from being in ICS wasn't actually from ICS. It was the toxic vitriol against us from other French clans when we were in the French nation. It was nuts. There may have been a couple of saner heads here or there in France, but by not taking a public and visible stand against the toxic players and their vitriol, from my perspective they were complicit in the hate and rage that made me consider quitting the game. But! Now that we are Danish, not only is the grass greener, there's palm trees, the beer is great, and fellow nationals in other clans are actually positive and friendly in nation chat. CCCP, SCAR, and HOST are great clans to be in the same nation with. Denmark has become a nation that the sun never sets on.

Get this: during our switch to Denmark, we discovered one of our guys didn't have Forged Papers. That sucked. We didn't want to lose him, but he would have to delete his high-level character and lose all his xp and books and such. He came anyways. Now we are working on power-leveling him back up. If I hadn't had any Forged Papers, I would have done the same. This game is just that much better with the right group, and this is one worth restarting for.

I enthusiastically endorse this clan, and nation!
