seeing her as a 90 gun second rate would add some diversity to the game no?  Maybe not so much as on a frigate level, but still?

i think that is the (wreeker class) Chatham Broadside Weight = 1188 Dutch pound  french period

first period

Lower Gun Deck28 Dutch 36-Pounder
Upper Gun Deck30 Dutch 30-Pounder

the problem will be the dutch guns  vs britisch guns

it would be nice to see de Ruyter in the game as a 3rd or 2nd rate line ship. seeing her as a 90 gun ship of the line would mean that almost al dutch players will craft this vessel and i think all dutch players would be proud to have this vessel.

An interesting characteristic of the ship class is that they all utilized a lateen yard instead of a spanker. A incredible model has been made of the Chatham pre-refit.

Armed with 36/32/12 Battery it will be one of the strongest third rates at sea.

Nice model, i got only 2 question about why is she rated as a third rate? And second the shield colours then should have been green white similair to the cities flag she is called after.

I saw that you might still dont know if it should be craftable or DLC/RARE, make it first craftable and DLC ship together (permit probably harder to get), you can craft it and buy. No P2W, noone can argue about it. If there are people who cant afford to put a lot of time in game, they'll probably gladly buy it, just dont price it high, stay at 33-35€ per ship because its adequate price and more people will buy it.

Not sure how he got it but @Grundgemunkey provided these pictures of the Admiraal de Ruyter he had been gifted. Credit to him for the screenshots, thought i'd share them as they show a more complete view of the model. Very pretty ship, can't wait to see it fully in game.

@admin why does the ingame Ruyter have 9pdr whilst the original design was with dutch 12pdr?

It is very beautiful and could be an impressive ship but as a player from Spain I can not leave the occasion to remember that we only have a Spanish ship (Santissima) and it is a great ship but I would expect to see more Spanish ships in the future.

Since the last poll, players care about the nationality of a ship.

Before, they didn't. They just wanted the most beautiful and/or most powerful polacre, brigantine, corvette, heavy frigate, first rate...

Good old days 🙂

(btw I was one of the first (if not the first) to post Spanish plans)

19k hit points though.. glass cannon eh :)

Can't wait.

Only 760 hp less than Implacable. Same thickness.

Don't think it can be considered glass cannon.

The Wreker has a converted to british pound 39.5/34/13.5 pound

so closest could /should be 36/36/12 pd  that could be a somewhat  fair arrangement.

or put french /dutch guns on it

first period 1293 lbs british pounds (the metric we use atm)

second period 1411 lbs british pounds (the metric we use atm)

French/(>also  dutch)/ metric :(dutch guns) (not in game ) (napoleonic era)

first period 1188 pounds F/D guns.

second 1296 pounds  F/D guns.
