Battle reinforcement timer

1. Lets' rephrase: the nation with the most players in any given area/region will always have the upper hand.

2. Realism for you means that people can warp into a battle-instance from another dimension at any given time? Please consider the discrepancies between the OW and the battle-instances.

3. What I meant with "tactical tagging" (might be a bad choice of words) was that you never know what you'll get since people can join all through the battle time.

4. Or never even go close to enemy harbours since there will always be a swarm of random people coming out to join the battle even if it's only within sight of the harbour in the OW (and they wouldn't realistically have chance to reach the battle before after the engagement, time discrepancies considered).

What our suggestion means is that you get what you see, and that goes for both the attacker and the victim (or preferably the 'defender'). Abuse is almost impossible.

The only way your suggestion can work is if reinforcement spawns are stupendously far away after the first few minutes - and then we could just as well do away with the OW entirely and just sail in the battle-instance system; yay!

1. And with this phrase you just admitted that homewaters will actually ve relatively safe as it should be.

2. This is a far better compromise than a "realism" where you port completely into a different space without any connection to the OW anymore. Your suggestion is like freezing time.

3. And? When you attack someone in dangerous waters that is something you have to live, calculate and plan with, which is quite possible. That is why these waters are dangerous. No more roaming around in enemy homewaters without a threat. Either you win fast or your risk of someone joining the battle rises which is a fair compromise.

If you are unable to win fast you probably tagged someone wrong.

4. Sorry, but this would mean true frontlines with escalating open world battles which makes RvR far more interesting. It makes especially Frigate gameplay and Screening-Fleet play far more interesting...

Your statement "abuse" wouldn't be possible in your suggestion is simply ridiculous as the attacker "only" needs to tag properly to seperate a part of an unblobbed enemy fleet while the defender would have to be blobbed up constantly which is not done under randoms. No more tagging tactics at all as everyone will just drive in blobs.

Your suggestion is the manifested random-clubbing (read ganking) by organized clans while clan vs clan is just a blobfest.

I'm sorry but your suggestion is simply not thought out to the end.

PS: I'm against the topic merging as different suggestions cannot talked about seperately leading to a wrong view on support for an idea.

Hell, with the new reinforcement spawns there is a completely different system ingame that isn't comparable anymore.

 

The reasoning behind 2 min timers was "if you can see him, he can join you in battle". It is still the case. This is still 100% comparable.
