Lester Ford Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 It's joke. Last year they added mechs. As far as I know Gaijin wanted War Thunder to be air, land and water combat game. They did not started from airplanes actualy. They wanted to implement warships first, but gameplay was too slow. After that they changed their mind and started from airplanes. Warships in this game will be when they'll finish tanks and that won't be fast. It would be nice to have 2 great games, one about age of sails and second with dreadnoughts and battleships.
