  4. There is a documentary about the 17th century Swedish expedition to the New World aboard a Dutch ship, the Kalmar Nyckel on tonight in the US at 9 pm EST. I used to be a crew member on the replica which sails out of Wilmington Delaware USA. Of course the replica is featured in the show! Unfortunately it is on a local Public TV station (WHYY) so I am not sure who will be able to see it - maybe it is available streaming. She is a beautiful ship even if a bit before our timeline (1625). The Ingermanland is the closest in resemblance. Here are some links: https://whyy.org/kalmar-
  5. some plans from a swedish draftsman sailtyps of ships privateer frigate with 28x 28pnd maindeck-guns (Swedish pnd is smaller as english, i mean, more to 24pnd) Frigates (but perhaps merchants with frigate-sails?, look the hullform)

  7. Wasa (Vasa) 1628 Vasa (or Wasa) is a Swedish warship built between 1626 and 1628. The ship foundered and sank after sailing about 1,300 m (1,400 yd) into her maiden voyageon 10 August 1628. She fell into obscurity after most of her valuable bronze cannons were salvaged in the 17th century until she was located again in the late 1950s in a busy shipping lane just outside the Stockholm harbor. Salvaged with a largely intact hull in 1961, she was housed in a temporary museum called Wasavarvet ("The Wasa Shipyard") until 1988 and then moved to the Vasa Museum in Stockholm. The ship is one of S
  8. Konung Karl built in 1694 built by Charles Sheldon at the Karlskrona shipyard. named after King Carl, She was 54m (177ft) in length at the waterline and weighed in at 2,730 tons. she was armed with 108 cannons and complemented a crew of 850. She remained in service for a suprising 77 years before being broken up do to decay. She served as the flagship for Hans Wachtmeister who served under Charles XI and Charles XII. She would be later up-gunned to 120 in 1714 and then rebuilt to 100 in 1723-4 although its suggested sometime later on she was again reduced to either 96 or 90. Armarment: 1
  9. I should realy wanted to see this ship in the game. the swedish regalkseppet Kronan that was in that time one of the biggest ships in the world. It could have 126 cannons onboard from 6 to 36 punds cannons. Build 1668, sank outside Öland in battle with denmark and holland. Of some reason they did remove some of her barlast before the battle so in a turn she did take in water in the lower cannon port and turn on the side and explode 1676. This ship had 850 men in the crew. I hade love to sail this ship in the game.
  10. This post is to be used a reference to the Declaration agreed upon by French clans ([LBORK][LMN][OMG][PURGE]) in PVP2 involving the Sverige, Danmark-Norge, and France Nations. We talked to the Sverige and Danmark-Norges separately about their goals, and this is the product of our discussions. The French Nation (herein referred to as "we"), will not take any additional ports in the region spanning between the Freetown of Vieques, and Plymouth. We shall not interfere with Sverige or Danmark-Norge players while either of the aforementioned nations have an active conquest flag. We can, and w

  16. 'Birger Jarl' Source: https://www.abc.se/~pa/uwa/birg_jarl.htm It could be noted at first that there was no entry in the journal in 1813 for a vessel known as the Billard. However, the entries for May and the early summer contain a great deal of information on a sunken frigate known as the Birger Jarl. Furthermore, this naval frigate had sunk in the Bay of Fakse close to Danish waters, which suggested further research to determine whether the names had been confused. It could be seen that so many of the circumstances concerning the frigate Birger Jarl corresponded to the data on
  17. So, i found out about this game today and i would really like to see the Swedish Hemmema type Frigates in the game. A hemmema (from Finnish Hämeenmaa, Tavastia) was a type of warship built for the Swedish archipelago fleet in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemmema Even Russia captured 3 of them and used them. One of the small ships of its type Oden.
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turuma "A turuma (from the Finnish word "Turunmaa") was a type of warship built for the Swedish archipelago fleet in the late 18th century. It was specifically developed for warfare in the Archipelago Sea and along the coasts of Svealand and Finland. The turuma was designed by the prolific naval architect Fredrik Henrik af Chapman for use in an area of mostly shallow waters and groups of islands and islets that extend from Stockholm all the way to the Gulf of Finland." "Altogether fourteen turumas were completed, making it the most common of the four archipelag
  19. Dear NA community, I've started work on a new ship. It's a swedish merchantmen. Seeing that there is a high demand for merchant vessels, I'm going in that direction. I've been in contact with Game-Labs and they OK'd it as well. This is where I need help though, It's very hard to find accurate plans for merchantmen. Especially references for upper deck details. If anyone has any useful links, to anything related, to these vessels, that would be a BIG help Currently I'm using this hull plan. It's of swedish design. Current progress:
