A new day, a new meta. Well, not so new. Once more player persistence has prevailed, we are back to the days of 15knt bellonas. Correction, 15.5. Some things that helped: reducing ship speeds across the board reducing mod effectiveness things that didn't help: 5/5 ships pvp mods raising the cap things that COULD help further reducing mods effectiveness/stacking ability further reducing base speeds on all ships compressing the stats from fir-LO to create more conformity to base stats of a ship removing speed cap so ships with faster base-speed will retain that to the high end and not be capped to forced-equality.
Please remove the redundant ships in the game. There really are no reason to spend cpu assets on Endymions, Renommees, trincomalees, frigates and cerberus ship types. They are redundant due to the fact that you can press a Bellona to 15kn, a Constitution to 15kn, a Surprise to 15kn.. So what - if any - reason are there for the above mentioned ships? - let us impoverish the current game by all going for the speed-meta mechanic so favoured by the devs. EDIT: By demand I'm offering a solution already put forth by someone else: Make a percentile cap on speed bonus'. This way the speed bonus of each ship is calculated from the base speed and can never exceed for example 5%.
