  1. Good evening, since yesterday I encounter a pretty wierd bug. The first time I try to join a battle after the client has been started/restarted I will get a connection loss during the loading screen. I have to wait to be sent back to the login page, if I log in again from there the problem is gone as long as i dont restart the client. As soon as the client is restarted the problem will re-occur. I have the game on an SSD so the speed of the harddrive should not be a problem. I also tried with both my main and an alt and on both my PC and my crappy old laptop. Both show the same problem. I furthermore have a 100 Mbit/s internet connection so that should not be a problem either. Also tried with different graphics settings, which does not make any difference either. For documentation purposes i attached a few screenshots of the problem (screenshot names are the date and time so you can see the timeline of the events as well): So my question is: Does anyone else have this wierd problem? Does anyone have an idea what causes it or how i can avoid it? Edit: Did a connection test as written in sticky thread, report number: NAS-1345842 Thanks, Mormegil 22:51:47 22:52:49 22:53:40 22:53:52 22:54:01 22:54:11
  2. when I am in a battle, the internet disconnect ed,when I go back . all is over , my ships all sank into water. So devs ,could u make it possible for us when AFK or connection to server suddenly stop ,the battle will automatically quit to prevent this unnecessary loss? PS:that battle happened in SN harbour. My fleet 3 ships. ,2 lost 1 left. I don't know why.
  3. I was sailing in enemy waters in my Trincomalee when my internet connection dropped, I'm not sure why it happened. I rebooted my router but that still didn't fix the problem. After a while it comes back online and I find that my ship which stays in game for 10 minutes after a connection is lost has been attacked and sunk by someone during the time my internet was down. Obviously this was something totally out of my control, and I find it very unfair to myself, but I understand why the 10 minute timer is there: to dissuade combat logging. I would like to request a roll back to regain my lost durability on my Trinc. My character name is Loquacious Larry
  4. Yesterday, as I was heading back to my home base to log off, I got disconnected and my internet connection was severed for a few minutes. As I logged back in, my ship has lost a durability and was sitting in a port near where I disconnected. Apparently while being disconnected, I got attacked by an NPC ship, which was not in sight when I disconnected. (I am kind of sure it was NPC, the area I was in is not very popular with enemy players and I got attacked there by other NPCs earlier) Could it be technically possible for the NPC ships to avoid attacking timed out players? I am okay with that you can't just pop out of the map with logging off when you see someone attacking, and I am okay with losing a ship in any way, but this kind of loss only creates frustration.
  5. I have noticed a persistent problem with the control of gun aim after losing connection and re-entering a battle. This has occurred quite a few times for me, enough so that I can verify it is consistently repeatable. I've been having DSL modem problems that have frequently resulted in loss of connection to the server (a non-NA issue). This has forced me to reinitialize the game to reenter the current battle. After doing so, my batteries all exhibit an aiming problem in that they all have 'super elevation', i.e. the guns are elevated VERY much higher than the aiming reticle would indicate. This results in a shot, with the 'normal' aim point toward or near the waterline of a ship ~30 meters away, that passes one to two mast-heights above the aim point. It only seems to return to the expected behavior after depressing my guns to their lowest limit and firing a shot into the water (firing of an actual shot may or may not be critical to the reset). That seems to reset the parameters associated with the gun elevation to their nominal values and the gunnery function is once again restored.
