Hey there! I have beaten all the Naval Academy mission in current alpha (10 v79) has to offer, most of them multiple times and with different bonus options and builds. Furthermore I have played countless custom battles. I feel confident to provide feedback backed up by experience. How can I provide meaningful feedback and in what kind for feedback are the developers interested in? Sorry if this is answered somewhere else and I was unable to find it. One small thing: Had zero crashes or graphical glitches – very impressive! Thank you very much!
About this mission... I've been struggling hardcore with balancing the destroyers to succeed in... anything. -Since the available tech is pretty low and the displacement is very limited, I just can't make the ideal build: it's an all-or-nothing for either survivability (that is overrated, because DDs are pretty much effed in 2 good hits) or offense (which is all good and nice, before you're torn to shreds by the enemy's superior number of guns). -I've tried a suggestion I saw around here too, with spreading torpedoes all over and keeping the enemy away, but that just doesn't work when you can't throw them faster than the enemy TBs can close the distance to you. -My oh my, the CAs are like angry badgers with my DDs: they just refuse to aim at the BB, and whatever their main gun caliber, the secondaries are enough to blow up the DDs engines, which is almost guaranteed death. -Lastly, the BB you get is horrible: pre-dreadnought, few, innacurate or weak secondaries, and outright useless main guns. it's slower than my grandma, and one torpedo pretty much halts it for good. It can do some work on the enemy, but only if you put it at spitting distance, and I think that's not a good idea against TBs. So, how did y'all deal with this mess, if anyone's managed a solid win? I think the worst part is that there's no way to avoid being grossly outnumbered, and the DDs are generally not that better than the enemy TBs in any way, sometimes even worse. My best try:
so this is my hand full off questions after spending 12 hours in the alpha, its great fun even if there are many features currently Wip and tool tips missing 1. will there be a skirmish mode? set up and pick a battle to take part in 2.will there be any way to make custom cross nation ships? say, grab a kongo hull and slap some warspite turrets on it? (love the pancake style british secondaries) 3.Quad turrets? king george and french styles? yes no or wip 4. is there likely to be a single player god mode/sandbox mode to mess around in? unlimited budget and everything available from every class would be fun to make that russian destroyer that had the 18 inch single gun on the back or line a 40 knot battleship hull front to back with 5 inch cleavland guns
If a moderator can reply to me either by primate message or email, I would like to know if there are keys left. The last time I had money to buy the game, I could not as I was ONE DAY off from buying it before they closed the sales. Problem solved, bought the game and am awaiting an email for confirmation of my key Friday.
