Spanish ensign captured at the Battle of Trafalgar, belonging to the San Ildefonso. The flag had been hung in the crossing of St Paul's Cathedral during Admiral Nelson's funeral service on 9 January 1806. San Ildefonso was captured after only an hour of action in the battle. The ship came under heavy fire from the Revenge and Defence, together shooting away her mizzen and main masts. With 34 dead and 126 wounded, she surrendered to the Defence. San Ildefonso was one of only four prizes captured by the British at the Battle of Trafalgar, along with the Bahama, Swiftsure and San Juan Nepomuceno, surviving the storm that followed the battle. Source Was looking through the thread (novo navios) that was posted earlier today, and came across this Téméraire class vessel. While she was a member of the overall class design, she was notably one of two ships (designated the Suffren class) that was built to a shorter design (65cm shorter by length) to meet the demands of then Minister of the Navy Pierre-Alexandre-Laurent Forfait. Once he left office, there were no further ships built to this design. She surrendered to the Tonnant but during the storm after the battle, her crew rose up against the British prize crew and sailed her to Cadiz, where she would be captured along with the rest of the Rosily Squadron by the Spanish in 1808.

These photos are a comparison with a recent attack on Sant Iago (Brits attacking Spain) and Trafalgar itself (date of attack: 7-22-2016). Notice how the two British Lines, although angled slightly different, have the same general shapes and are working together the same way. Notice HMS Avenger is even in the same spot as the HMS Euryalus at the side of the HMS Victory herself at the head of the left line and also notice how HMCS Warrior (the head of the right line) is slightly ahead of the second ship in that line.
