  1. My proposal is a Diving bell - it gives a historical correct feature to loot wrecks when they have already sunk under the water line - it helps new players to concentrate on the fight and not to get to the loot under the pressure that its too late when they arrive - to make it realistic and fair it could be an upgrade or a perk, so that players can decide either they want to use the space for it; or not to loot after the battle, so if they want to loot calmly then they would need to use an upgrade slot or a perk slot for it (propably would work better as a perk than as an upgra
  2. Hey! So what about including a drop chance for season wood in the sealed bottles/ship wreaks?
  3. Is there a way to transport loot we get from taking out enemy camps? I'm getting really annoyed with having to run all the way back to my camp, or an outpost, to get my spoils transported home. lol
  4. Everyone knows how frustraitig it is when AI keeps doing its turning cycle to your stern making him usually die to upwind. And if you are in group there is many enemies around, you just dont have time to loot any enemies before they go too deep. I suggest you can "Retrieve" loot in battle by button sending "longboats" to the shipwreck (add drop down menu to choose shipwreck). This would lock your ship at place for lets say 30 Seconds? And after that loot from the ship you have selected, it will open in trade window for you. You would need to send the "longboat" to all the wrecks inviduall
  5. I got the exact same loot from my past three gold chests: Treaties on Making Salt Peter and British Gunners I asked a fellow clan member @Hammy, and he has also gotten the same loot from his past four gold chests, also Treaties on Making Salt Peter and British Gunners. This seems too unlikely to be attributed to bad luck. All the chests were opened in the same port (Nuevitas) but at different times.
  6. I think the looting of sunk ships needs to be addressed by either having them stay afloat longer or allowing a larger radius to loot them. Ships carried longboats so that would be the reason why a larger loot radius would be technically accurate. Thanks
  7. Why not copy the gears system from Diablo III into this game. White/grey: standard item - Green: slightly improved - Blue: rare - Purple: epic - orange: legendary. At least that would give a purpose to looting the enemy - and a needed risk assessment, for going into battle with an enemy. The chance for purple and orange should be rare. Example: Trim - Turning 4-5th: Gray: Max speed: -2% Ship turn rate 4% Green: Max speed: -2% Ship turn rate 5% Blue: Max speed: -2% Ship turn rate 6% Purple: Max speed: -2% Ship turn rate 6% + 1 more affix Orange: Max speed: -2%
  8. AI fleet members are necessary for trading, but have limited utility in combat. I have two ideas regarding more versatile commands. 1. A command for AI fleet members to loot Since a major source of permanent upgrades (and the only source for some) is looting ships, it would be a fantastic addition to command AI fleet members to loot wrecks. Implementation could be simple, as in you tell an AI to loot a specific wreck, and he's programmed to approach and then some mechanic exists for looting. 2. A general "move to here" set of commands. There's lots of situations where you'

Those can only be found in loot when killing AI or if you are lucky when a player sold one to a port. All listed Items use a Slot as one Permanent Upgrade. Coles
  10. After playing the game for roughly a month I've come to the conclusion that the looting system is unnecessarily hard, especially as the rank of the missions increase(Mainly as players use bigger ships to deal with higher rank missions). The current system have the loots being tied to the ship's hull and as the ship sinks the distance keeps increasing from any surface ships(those who want to get the loots.). As such, there is an implicit window of opportunity to get the loot, dictated by the distance from the sinking ship and the wind direction. While some might argue that it is one's responsi
