  1. Website: http://navalaction-france.com/csnf/ PreambleThe CSNF is an organization made up of representatives from French Societies as well as Independent French Captains to facilitate communication and coordination amongst the French Nation in our common goals in the caribbean, be it of diplomatic, military or economic nature. Purpose/PowersAs a general rule, the CSNF’s purpose is to aid & facilitate rather than enforce. All of its members join with this knowledge and intentions and no action can be taken by this Council to police any player of the French nation in any form or means
  2. Tenacity Gaming is an established gaming community on several games including; League of Legends 5+ Teams, Minecraft, Space Engineers, Rocket League and more. Tenacity Defence Fleet Tenacity has only recently joined the ranks of Naval Action with only a few members so far taking up arms, this is soon to increase and on that premise we are advertising here to recruit more sailors to join our ranks for the up coming adventure that lies with the Tenacity Defence Fleet. We are open to all captains, all nations, all languages; we ask that you can speak some English. Age
  3. Didon was a 60-gun Dryade class first rank frigate of the French Navy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dryade-class_frigate Didon took part in the Invasion of Algiers in 1830, and in the Battle of the Tagus the next year. She later took part in the Crimean War as a troopship. Armament: 60 30-pounders (yep, it's OP)
  4. Plan as published in the Architectura Navalis Mercatoria by F.H. af Chapman in 1768. The design of the stern and the head seems to have been simplified by Chapman, maybe because the original drawings by the master carver C.-P. Caffiéri already have been lost when af Chapman visited Brest in 1754. The chain plates for the main- and foremast above the gun ports also don´t conform to french practice in the 1740s. Designed by Jaques-Luc Coulomb, launched at Brest in September 1744, captured by the Royal Navy in 1760, but not taken into service. Dimensions (taken off the plan)
  5. Need more info on this ship, it looks different from 1760 le solei royal. 1760
  6. Designed by A. Groignard (who, amongst many other ships, also was responsible for the design of the East-Indiaman Le Duc de Duras, much better known as the Bonhomme Richard). Launched at Brest in 1767, broken up in 1783. No plans for the head and stern layout survived, but I suppose she had the same 'horse-shoe' transom and lion figure-head as the Belle Poule. Boudriot states that there are french sailing reports for the Renommée, but they, as far as I know, aren´t published yet. If you have any additional information about this ship, please share Dimensions: Length
  7. 'Tromp' Tromp built in 1779 by the Dutch and captured by the British in 1796.
  8. 'Courageux' French Ship Courageux (1753) She was captured by the British ship HMS Bellona, also of 74 guns on 13 August 1761, whilst in the company of two frigates. Courageux sighted Bellona in company with the frigate Brilliant. The British ships pursued, and after 14 hours, caught up with the French ships and engaged, the Brilliant attacking the frigates, and Bellona taking on Courageux. The frigates eventually got away, but Courageux struck her colours, and was later repaired and taken into the Royal Navy as the third rate HMS Courageux. French Navy: 74 guns Gundeck: 28
  9. I started this for POTBS a long time ago and got to this point before user content came to an end. Plan She was a demi-batterie of 38 guns. 10. French 3rd rates, 74+ guns. Rare find. Copy plans while they last. 1778 Anibbal ^ 1781 Pegase ^ 1793 Pompee^
  11. 'Montebello' French 1st rate ship with 120 guns. Launched in 1812, Montebello was an Océan type ship of the line of the French Navy. Plans list her as a 120-gun ship, but many historical references refer to her as a 118-gun ship. 12. 86 Guns, French Le Phenix It's obviously still a WIP, there's still some tough details to polish or add, there is some sculpting to be done and obviously there is the rigging to hurt through. I consider it a passion project and a practice mostly, so I'm not fussed about poly range and I go as high as I feel I have to to keep the detail I want in there. Might or might not get retopo in, depending if we get the targeted ranges posted. Maybe. Will see. Still, a lot of the detail I want to end up on either normal maps or just completely scrapped and done by textures (like the holes for windows

  17. A quick french ship that might rustle your jingles 106-gun ship of the line Another french suggestion and a french heavy that could be a matct against any british vessel. This one there is alot of pics of as a model.
  18. La Belle (1680) Small french ship (barque longue, 6 guns). Part of the disastrous expedition of René-Robert Cavelier de la Salle sent from France in 1684 to explore the mouth of Mississipi. 20. Hello here is La Tuite 1787 (source is all-model.com) in the drawings it is a 14 gun corvette but according to wikipedia is was renamed to Recherche and reclassed as a 12 gun frigate. In game it could be a high speed light ship (has three mast sails) with decent maneuverability and perhaps the ability to carry decent armament. I also have started to model this ship for fun (mostly because it is so small and good practice for ship modelling). I think someone with experience could model this ship easily but i guess there is alot to puting a ship into the game other then m
