  1. Cost of owning towns seems to be discouraging nations from going full throttle conquest. I hear it over and over from different clan leaders and other nation players "we have enough towns". Today for example we couldn't get a group together in our nation to flip a town because no-one wanted to own the cost involved. If this was remedied i do believe the activity in the game overall would increase dramatically. Suggestion: A small percentage reduction in town ownership cost for each town owned (excluding non capturable) by a Nation. For example nation A owns 20 ports @ lets say .75% cost reduction per town :- 20x .75%= 15% therefor every port in that nation gets a 15% cost reduction (regardless of which clan owns). This would encourage nations to increase their ports owned to get a bigger discount.
  2. Working with the economy in what seems to be a fringe time zone (evenings, US Pacific) has forced me to get a better understanding of what ships actually cost to build. I broke the Traders Brig down to minimum per unit material costs. Excluding the option woods this appears to be the material cost percentages at the source level (craft). Material (100%), not including option woods. Oak Log 22.84% Fir Log 17.37% Stone Block 14.87% Hemp 13.73% Iron Ore 11.45% Food Supplies 10.62% Lignum Vitae Log 5.31% Coal 3.82% Of course the actual costs depend on how many buildings are controlled and whether the remainder is obtainable at reasonable contract prices or you are stuck at AI contract (4x production cost). A build with fir options and controlling the top four buildings yields an estimated build cost in the neighborhood of 48,000 But I was very surprised by the low coal percentage. Does this look accurate?
  3. After a fairly diligent search I could not find any posted answers to the following questions: 1. How does the cost for the permit and outpost increase beyond the second one? I currently have two and see that the permit cost for the third is 50,000, but I can't see the actual outpost cost. Do they keep going up by the same increments (i.e., 25,000 for each additional permit) or do the costs increase or decrease? 2. Other than cost, is there a fixed limit on how many outposts that you can have? Thanks!
