  3. HMS Roebuck (1774) Plans based on Roebuck class. The Roebuck class ship was a class of twenty 44-gun sailing two-decker warships of the Royal Navy. The class carried two complete decks of guns, a lower battery of 18-pounders and an upper battery of 9-pounders. This battery enabled the vessel to deliver a broadside of 285 pounds. Most were constructed for service during the American Revolutionary War but continued to serve thereafter. By 1793 five were still on the active list. Ten were hospital ships, troopships or storeships. As troopships or storeships they had the guns on their l
  4. hi this is my model of HMS HERMIONE, Andromeda class 32 gun frigate of 1782. Its still under construction at the moment but I just thought I would post some pics of how she looks so far.... and im open to suggestions and any help anyone can offer! My reason for choosing the Hermione is because of her history, bloodiest mutiny on any british warship..... ragnar hairy trousers
  5. 'Arethusa' Ship that survived 3 wars and captured multiple ships before she was proudly retired in 1815. Enjoy this interesting history stop. Try and Forge your legend only in Naval Action. HMS Arethusa (1781): American Revolutionary War In February 1782, Arethusa captured the French ship Tartare, of fourteen 6-pounder guns. Tartarte was the former British privateer Tartar, which the French ships Aimable and Diligente had captured in September 1780. The Royal Navy took Tartare into service as True Briton. On 20 August 1782, Arethusa recaptured the former B
  6. 'Boadicea' 1797 Very active ship with rich history. Boadicea was one of a batch of large frigates ordered in 1795, all of which were the largest of their type, and the majority of which were to the draught of captured French ships, the Navy then being under the sway of Middleton and the French school of thought, a school supposing that the design of warships in France was of a higher quality. She was built to the design of Imperieuse, a 40-gun ship completed in 1787 and captured in October 1793. Changes were made to the shape of the topsides, and the scantlings and fasten

  8. HMS Archer, and the Archer-class of gun-brigs From 1793 to 1813, the Royal Navy demanded large numbers of small armed brigs for coastal warfare. These were smaller than the brig-sloops or man-of-war brigs, with a complement of 50 men under the command of a Lieutenant. Some were converted from merchant ships, while most were built to order - the most common design of these gun-brigs was the Archer-class by William Rule, consisting of 58 ships. These ships were workhorses, most with individually undistinguished careers or a supporting role apart from some colourful exceptions; HMS Staunch, f
  9. HMS Leopard was a 50-gun fourth rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, built at Rotherhithe and launched on 15 March 1703.[1] Leopard underwent a rebuild according to the 1719 Establishment at Woolwich, and was relaunched on 18 April 1721. Leopard served until 1739, when she was broken up. Building HMS Leaopard http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/3097-hms-leopard-by-bluto-50-gun-ship-1790-180-pob-1790/
  10. I've been digging a bit and i have found some blueprints of the HMS Prince 98-gun second rate ship of the line that was launched on 4th of July 1788. It is a very pretty ship and it is a 2nd rate which we only have 1 of so far. Here are some plans: Orlop plan: Lower gundeck plan: Middle gundeck plan: Upper gundeck plan: Quarterdeck and forecastle plan: Inboard profile plan: Sheer plan and lines: Model: Now, I am not a historian or anything, but this seems like a cool ship and I haven't seen it with its plans in this forum.(might be that I mis

  12. Here is a suggestion for a bomb ketch that could eventually be added to replace the mortar brig, or simply serve as another mortar vessel: HMS Granado Length: 64 ft 5 in (19.6 m) (gundeck) 50 ft 6 in (15.4 m) (keel) Beam: 23 ft 5 in (7.1 m) Depth of hold: 10 ft 0 in (3.0 m)

  14. 'Vanguard' I was finally able to find plans for my favorite ship. Enjoy! P.S will try to get her in game in the near future when Kickstarter opens up. HMS Vanguard was a 74-gun third-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 6 March 1787 at Deptford. She was the sixth vessel to bear the name. In December 1797, Captain Edward Berry was appointed flag captain, flying Rear Admiral Sir Horatio Nelson's flag. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Vanguard_(1787) Plans
  15. not sure is this has been posted yet sorry if it has. ----------------------------- The HMS St. Lawrence was a 112 gun first rate ship of the line launched on 10 September 1814 from the Kingston Royal Naval Dockyard. She was the only Royal Navy ship of the line ever to be launched and operated entirely in fresh water. how ever powerful she was as the largest warship on the great lakes, because of her sheer size and the danger she posed she never saw action as the U.S. fleet was too worried of losing their ships to her and was promptly decommissioned in 1832. She was the flagship of S

  19. HMS Caledonia 120 Gun First Rate HMS Caledonia was a 120-gun first-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 25 June 1808 at Plymouth. She was Admiral Pellew's flagship in the Mediterranean. She proved to be a very successful ship, and it was said that 'This fine three-decker rides easy at her anchors, carries her lee ports well, rolls and pitches quite easy, generally carries her helm half a turn a-weather, steers, works and stays remarkably well, is a weatherly ship, and lies-to very close.' She was 'allowed by all hands to be faultless'. In later years she was to become the
  20. It has been a 3 week long race. The First leg was long in Panama was initial hard fights around Playon, with the British front falling and allowing France to get a strong foothold in Panama. The second leg was the British Nation responded in force, capturing back all Panama ports with the French escaping to the North Yuctan being handed ports by the Spanish. 21. Several weeks ago the French led by their Danish Lords set off to attack the British in an unprovoked declaration of War. The war began with the Dutch allowing the French Military Access to cross through their territory over 2 days with the first strike coming out of the Dutch neutral zone into the British Canalete area. There British forces were met with forces of the Russian Coalition led by Pirate, Spanish and French forces some 150-200 enemy forces were reported in the area. Over a period of 4 or 5 days the vast numbers overwhelmed exhausted British forces which eventually led to a blitz
