  1. Yes "sloped armor" does make it easier to bounce rounds. Shots bounce when the armor is to thick or when the angle is too high. Thicker the armor easier it is to bounce the rounds. If you have thin armor you gonna have to position your self at a really high angle to the other ship to get his rounds to bounce. Of course your enemies guns and there penetration is also going to come into effect. Bouncing rounds is an art form in itself.
  2. Ive known Liquid Dirt for over a year. Met him on the old PVP2 US server a year ago. He was in the Sons of Hano clan, and we were on brits side on pvp2. Ive known him to be an honest guy. Like me he also quit playing the game for a while. Its not an alt, seeing how I have known him for so long and have talked to liquicity before, I can say with 100 percent certainty they are not the same people. He didn't cost you the port battle quit crying, I have faith that SORRY can get it back. Liquid Dirt did screw up and he apologized for it. The only person who had a "BLATANT" disregard for the rules, is the well known "man child" Lord Vicious attacking him in nation chat for two hours.   3. The top 3 things I've gathered that needs changed and added from feedback in in-game chats, Teamspeak, and Discord channels in order of popularity. I apologize for the long winded points in advance. Nation/Faction re-work. (this will be a long explanation).- Reduce the number of nations to the more "popular/well known" ones of the time. Britain, France, Spain, America. Currently the population is widely spread out across a large map, some Nation are underpopulated. Pirates should be more of a faction then a nation. Unable to do port battles except for being able to defend or recapture its starting ports. They can do "port raids". Which are basically port battles but the pirates wont keep the port however, they can loot the hell of the port for the next 15-30 minutes or so after the completion of the raid. I should also add Pirates shouldnt be able to craft anything larger then a 5th rate. Pirates life is for me, and i don't expect it to be easy. Cash Shop. (BOUND COSMETIC ITEMS ONLY).- Please read first don't shoot me with a broadside just yet. NO SHIPS, NO UPGRADES, NOTHING THAT CAN GIVE AN EDGE IN BATTLE AND MUST BE BOUND TO THE ACCOUNT SO THEY CANT BE RESOLD FOR IN GAME GOLD. These kind of items would be some paints, flags, forged papers, character and clan rename tokens (30 day cool down on renames). Could be a cool way to have ship customization and get some more revenue coming in for the devs. After all we do want the devs to make money so we can play this game for years to come. Elite Player Ships. *Disclaimer this more of final release thing not really suitable for testing mechanics*- Some ships if made historically accurate to there alleged performance would make them over powered. Hence why many like the connie and trinco have been nerfed. My suggestion which gets great feed back is to make them more historically accurate, it is a simulator after all, but make them EXTREMELY expensive to make. Classic MMO style balancing to the good things in a game. I do mean EXTREMELY expensive. It should take you a week or two of grinding to get one of them maybe more depending on the ship. Some ships that could fit this would be the Rattlesnake, Santa Cecilia, Trincomalee, Endymion (if its abysmal sailing profile is changed to be more in line with the historical ship) , Constitution, etc you get the picture. This is an MMO so over balancing performance isn't whats needed here simply put if you want a very balanced world of warships type game then the upcoming Naval Action Legends would be more in line with that. Naval Action is an more of an MMORPG. Make the common ships possibly even easier to get to promote and help new players. The Elite Ships should be a personal goal to achieve. I did not mention the very common suggestions like reducing the number of speed upgrades, make pvp more viable and rewarding, RoE, etc cause i figured others will suggest these things anyway. Cash shop and Elite Ships might be best to wait until full release of the game.
  4. Yes it is. I think we eu players should all get a free ship bp for our inconvenience . I vote they make the santa cecilia ships bp and give it to us lol. JK

  7. I have done the same thing, I find myself playing other games for the time being. I still have my character, clan, and outposts on pvp2 and if the pop comes back up ill be more than happy to continue playing on pvp2, but for now PVP2 is just to dead for me and the members of my clan that still play to really continue on it. As for merges, I dont really see the reason to have a PVE server on this game. Other than to grind your level and crafting up safely then go to a pvp server for the real fun. Which in all honesty imo it seems a sort of cheatsie to do that. I think the pve server and pvp2 server should merge into one. Also is there any estimated time on the port wipe.
  8. what do you mean by "where these grinders are going to have to do a ton more grinding to get back to where they were." Wipes arent going to reset your xp level and crafting xp level, if your worried about getting back into bigger ships I went from PVP2 to PVP1. Took maybe 1 and half days and Im back in 3rd rate. So i fail to see where the grind is. The worse thing is blue prints. I do agree to many get ready for pvp instead of actually PVPing. This game is setup to where if your a half decent player you can practically pvp at any level. I will say this also. Not being directed to any one individual. If you dont like grindy games why play mmorpgs. That is literally what every one of them is. In one way or another you will have to grind to get levels or grind to get better crap or both. I saw eve was mentioned as an alternative. I cant think of a worse example to use then eve, especially when it comes to being new player friendly. Maybe Archeage would be worse then again its kinda completely pay to win. Point is MMORPGs that have both pvp and pve will always have a grind hell thats half the purpose. Try a korean game if you think this is grindy. If you dont like it then dont play them. Theres tons of more casual fun and exciting games like World of Warships. Oh and i hate to use this but with respect its alpha quit complaining about lack of content and be patient. You know this shit is gonna be amazing soon enough A lot of MMOs have pvp zones so that new players can level safely with out the worry of being griefed by old players. This game could use that, although Im not sure how they would implement something like that with the current map and port battle set up. Maybe one way would be pvp could only be done somewhat near the "front lines" so to speak. Anyway my half asleep rant is over.

  11. Will there be or is there talk of putting a character model in the game. For us to walk around the towns when it goes open world, or maybe even clash cutlasses with other captains when boarding. This game is already so amazing I doubt I will see this but I was just curious if anyone has talked about this. Im brand new to the game and I already love it, I am anxiously waiting to see the end product Im sure its gonna be amazing and a huge success. I know that adding that to this game would unreasonable suggestion so I was curious if there was ever any thoughts on it.
