  1. To counter maneuverability add big guns and higher damage to heavier bigger boats. 4th rate vs frigate - usually the 4th rate will do massive damage to the frigate before frigate gets closer. So, in the end we will have many sailors killed, reload decreased on frigate who is now very close to 4th rate. Now we have maneuverable damaged frigate vs less maneuverable 4th rate who can punch hard. From here, player can try to use the sailing skills to survive.
  2. I would like to see tons of different loot items that drop from NPCs. Gold, diamonds, jewels, rings, statues etc...
  3. Colors feature like in other games is a must have feature here. Also, certain ship parts can be unlocked and painted and you lvl up would be nice. I know many people who will buy a game just because they can design flags and sails as they like. Example colors:
  4. Premium Club and Account Upgrades Do we need it and what should be included for Premium accounts? My suggestions: Create premium one time paid $50 accounts for those who want more control. Free to play but you can pay and get more. After you get premium account it will stay permanently. Create accounts upgrades. Sell xp boosters, reputation boosters, gold find boosters etc. Sell premium sails, flags and figureheads. Unique ship paint colors. Yes colors can be limited to all starting players and will be unlocked as you explore? Premium members get much larger society access. Economy labor bonus. Premium ships. (1 free when join the club) Premium Avatar clothing, swords and items. Premium items for captain cabins customization. Any other? Off topic: The most important part is to keep cross-teaming and server hopping at low. GW2 got a nice player control, it is expensive to switch servers, but you still can
  5. GTA5 type of map? Hidden world to explore with few starting locations that unlock as you do missions or exploration. Great Idea! You can also add NPCs who sell map pieces to unknown world wonders locations. Or NPCs can give player a location after mission is complete. Endless ideas with each feature you add. 50 ships? damn.. will that take away any ship details/ocean details to get performance?
  6. I think, a drawn old style map like this would be enough. On the map player can set way-points, target destination markers, check wind direction, get unlocked/discovered town info etc... I really like Ultimate General world art, something like that would be great in Naval Action. Maybe 3d high detail world map like that? Add some cool map monsters! too
  7. I say add a cinematic view (some blur on the bottom of the screen,nice music) as an option for players to switch on and enjoy long ocean journeys....

  9. Hello, we all know devs will be starting UI development soon, so lets give them some ideas on User Interface and how do we want it to look. (Not an advertisement just some ideas) Ok, my suggestions: -Make different UI themes as defaul for each Class. Pirate , Naval Officer, Trader etc... -Make extra cool looking UI themes and sell them like Dota 2 does. Good profit. -Make animated UI , (rotating world globe, sand clock, wind indicator etc...) Any other ideas?

  11. and you have to remember, naming/renaming can make devs some nice money! Players can rename ships for in-store currency. Why not?

  13. They can always be NPCs who give away missions. Take for example Capt Kidd in Potbs.

  15. Guys, I hope you will fix sails. They look plastic and do not move. A. Add more textured ropes like seen on the image I added. B. Make animation, so they can move and give player a wind feel. But, if you let players have custom sails, that will not be a problem. I would also, add rain/storm (clouds) in the distance, that would be epic! Great work!

  17. Do not make ship completely disabled. You will make players pissed) No one likes to sit and watch their stern is being camped and you sink hopeless. Make certain parts of the ship broken/damaged. Every broken/damaged part must have an opposite skill or repair in order to fix it. Rudder. -50% turn, (rudder patch repair) Mast. -50% speed, (mast patch repair) Hull. +20% more damage taken from enemy shots. (hull patch repair)
  18. (not advertising any games, just giving ideas..gosh) Morale can be used to charge elite skills. Every broadside on enemy ship produces one battle morale point. (Not talking about boarding morale) There are 4 stages for each line of (defense, offence, sailing). It is up to a player to stay in combat and try to put as much broadsides on a ship as possible in order to unlock elite skill in a specific line. Player can select on what line he wants to focus (offence, defense, sailing) Not sure if you guys played BF4, but there is a skill tree you have to unlock in battle to get the best boost for that class. SO, we can use similar system here and think it will work out great. Players will be encouraged to fight get rewarded with extra offence, defense or sailing bonuses. Ex. (Offence) Level 1 +5% reload Level 2 +10% damage (crew uses double shot) Level 3 +10% accuracy Level 4 + 20% damage Images are only used as an Example: Boarding morale should be different from battle morale and only appear in boarding combat.
  19. I am sure developers will add any ship you like. New ship models will sell like crazy.
  20. Before answering this question, I need to ask what type of skill system do we use? Is it the same type of click skills like in POTBS? or something else? can you give us an example plz.
