  1. Start with this: Make your way to the port and start a story line where you would get a much bigger ship.
  2. Escorted convoys. In most cases you can't tell what is being transported, so it's a guess game. I like the idea where you could take the risk and try to fight the convoy. I would suggest to make these fights - group fights. Rewards could be: gold, raw materials, rare artifacts, mods etc..
  3. Here is a topic about fires etc: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2885-fires-explosions-branders-and-fireships/?hl=fires
  4. I already mentioned this to the dev team. Acceleration and speed they don't feel right. Ships accelerate too fast and when you turn you drift and slide, especially on little boats. I suggested Potbs formulas from this thread: http://forums.burningsea.com/forum/archive/retired-forums/discussion-topics/ships-ship-combat-ship-skills/93869-ship-acceleration-turning-turning-acceleration-and-turning-decel Linear Acceleration At full sails and sailing in a straight line, this is fairly well established more or less to follow the formula a = A ( 1 - v^2 / V^2 ) where a is acceleration at that moment A is maximum acceleration (the value in the ship stats sheet) v is the linear speed at that moment V is the max speed at that wind angle.
  5. Add an option (use telescope when firing), when this option is enabled, player will be able to lock the aiming distance (marker) and adjust fire as necessary for more accurate long range hits. 1. Aim as usual. 2. Lock the aim height/distance marker and switch to telescope - (Shift + Right Mouse button.) Shift - lock the aim height/distance, to stabilize. Right Mouse Button - telescope view, to adjust fire. Space bar - single shot to measure the distance and see if shot hit the target. Left Mouse Button - Fire full broadside at locked coordinate. If test shot misses the target player must repeat the process - Release Right Mouse Button, re-position the aim height, Press Shift to lock it, press Right Mouse Button to switch back to telescope and use Space bar to fire a test shot. When test shot hits the target press Left Mouse Button to fire the full broadside. *When you release Right Mouse Button and back to normal aim view the lock is reset.
  6. It's a part of a grand plan have to wait...
  7. It would be awesome to fire flares into the night or even day and call for help. Other players could see it and come help the fight. (window with a message pops and asks you if you want to help, accept or decline with reward info. If accepted a bright marker drops on the battle location and shows distance to it. Good feature for traders who are being attacked by pirates. Players could get rewarded for helping a trader.)

Very good band! Try the band Running Wild!!!
  10. Hello, wanted to share the open world domination idea that could be used in Naval Action, work in progress. Many interesting suggestions can be implemented into this. Here is a Sneak Peek of the world domination prototype that I am working on. Each region in the open world could have strategic positions and bonuses. Ex. resources, travel speed, defenses ,spawn points etc.. World should be covered with the hexagon grid. If a nation captures fort+cannon towers all hexagons will fill with nation's color and represent captured/controlled region. Other nations would need to fight in order to take the region from the hostile nation, boost defense and resource support for it's own nation. World map timer must be in place. Note! This is just a raw idea. World domination timer This timer will start after world map is reset every 8 weeks. Timer re-spawns all nations back to it's original controlled regions and war begins. Nations start sending convoys (war/trade) to all regions around the world and start capturing them. Nation who gets the most control is the winner before timer runs out. The winner will have bonuses and awards, ships etc. Transfer some captured regions into second round? Possible. Trade routes to support regions. This will be a main task for traders. Move as much supplies as you can to a vulnerable region that needs help. Sell it at the local store and make profits. Prepare to face pirates or hostile ships on your way to destination. Pay warship convoy to protect you or sail at your own risk. --------Reserved for future ideas--------- How would you like to see nations fight and gain wold control? Any suggestions are welcome.

    PC Freeze

Replace CPU Thermal Grease with this Arctic Silver. Clean the top part of the CPU with alcohol before applying the new THIN coat. Consider upgrading to cpu liquid cooler.
  12. Add 'report'/flag button under player name.
  13. Hello, I would like to suggest a few things that might improve performance and overall open world look. Current islands that are in game (test servers) have simple trees on the top of the mountain and they tend to flicker as ship sails. Here are my suggestions: Current Suggested + Distance blur (blur trees in the distance to make the image look smooth and reduce flickering) Add depth of field to achieve spectacular views. Actual real look Discuss please.
  14. No free camera for open world. Just add x1000 zoom from your ship like the one they had in POTBS, so we can make nice videos of the terrain. No harm can be done if your system can handle it. Note, you can't simply fly anywhere in the open world, you should just be able to zoom out further. However, keep the free camera as it is when you are in battle.
  15. Very strong text! Good job. Try a burnt edges frame. Tweak image colors, it's too yellow. You can always go through screenshots gallery here on forums to find more images for your cover. Try different ones and see what works best. 50 Fantastic Photo Effect Tutorials with Photoshop http://speckyboy.com/2013/01/28/50-fantastic-photo-effect-tutorials-with-photoshop/
