  1. cant agree more Brigand but i do think this will be a good bridge until something more permanent is found, and you never know.. it might end up cutting down the anger in people.. on saying that i suppose it will be exploited, everyone doing it.. which i just thought lol, so maybe its not a good overall suggestion.
  2. @henry d'esterre dude when/if a profanity filter is added could it be possible to have your list used in replacement of such language. it might lighten the situation when someone is trying to swear, and comes out with something like you mammering ill nurtured moldwarp instead of you ********* *******

  4. and it is vastly improved by the amazing mods that enhance it, and yes it is a military simulator, i would say its the most realistic sim out there, i own arma 2 and i love it. not to boast but im a moderator on the sister site to Armaholic.. and to watch the guys in multiplayer i wouldnt let them here you say its not a military sim.. they do take it seriously........well mostly lol also seeing that video.. it just shows what amazing machinima you can make using the editor.. hopefully it is easier than Arma 2
  5. i for one would hate to see this game become a pay to win game.. i have already paid my money .. i do not wish to pay more.. if the devs had said from the get go that this will eventually become a free to play game with in game payments i would have thought twice about buying it. too many game these days are becoming p2w and not releasing as a full one payment game these days.

  8. tbh i cant see locking the guns to work, my reasoning is this.. there are multiple things happening when ranging shots.. first off your target is moving either closer or further away... secondly.. the waves make you roll so even a small degree of side roll will put the locked guns out of range.. the system we have now works fine.. if you dont have the shot .. you dont take it.. its that simple. EDIT: Ok i think i have an idea / solution which adds to @sir henry morgans views instead of using the mouse to gain the angle why not use numerical keys 2 and 8 so each press changes the angle for example 5 degrees, that will lock the cannons to that angle unless changed
  9. would also be good for when the game becomes more competitive and enters the realm of online competitions like gladiators on war thunder.
  10. i rather enjoy black sails. yes its set in the era of pirates .. but it mainly centres around nassau where pirates sell their booty, pretty much the start of the black market trading if you must..
  11. when i got my brig i went into pve light.. even if it had someone else in there with me i mentioned that i was testing/training and they usually accept it an go onto do what they want.. and vice versa when i go into battle against bots. but i think if a training room is needed there needs to be a single player aspect to the game for such occassions.

  13. for this to be viable we need a list of all possible commands. also what keys would be used .. probably keys 1-9 on the lobby idea .. its good but i think the biggest ship should be admiral, if 2 or more of same ship then a vote should count.

  16. there are some of us out there that make machinima.. and with the in game ui as is, it is impossible to get good shots without a lot of work trying to edit out said ui in video.. would it be possible to be able to turn off the ui.. this also could be useful for experienced captains as they should know the layout.
  17. just to answer some of your points.. yes it will be 3d because that is how it is now but the way i see it is - your initially given a certain amount of finances to buy a ship, crew and resources (enough to get you to a port) lets say 2 months supplies).. i dont see ports as living enviroments i see them as places for assignments/tasks/orders/information maybe with a ui that is a captains log where you get options for the mentioned tasks, purchases etc so for example the first boat you buy is a naval ship.. and get a note from the admiral ordering you to meet up with the fleet in the english channel (other players assigned same orders) and patrol a zone as word is out that spanish ships has been sighted the fleet need to capture the spanish ships not sink them .. and a bounty will go to each ship that captures them..
  18. i dont like the kick feature.. these features have a tendency to be abused.. also as the main aim of the game is heading towards an open world.. why would you need this feature..because the battles we do now are part of testing stage, unless their plans are to have seperate servers specially for quick battles.
