With ships having to be done internally, and this game focusing very heavily on the deck-level experience, physically moving about the deck and manipulating objects... I have to ask - is there any consideration towards implementing VR?

2 New Items: Loki Rune, And Ship Logbook

I'm hoping they're permanent modules - lose the ship, lose the ability, and one more choice people have to make. -
Russia so bored they try to kill off smaller nations?

Well, scenarios like this one come to mind... -
This is a bit much. As Henry is such an excellent fellow, I'm sure he would be happy if you donated your well wishes to an appropriate charity.

Poor sailing is not a tribunal offense. Intentionally getting in the way is. Without evidence, intent cannot be discerned.

While people can argue about whether or not you should want to refund a DLC, that's ultimately up to you. The appropriate information for that can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

Moderator taking sides + open positions
Powderhorn replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
I'll say much the same in the official announcement thread whenever that gets posted: I don't recommend it. You will often have to make decisions against your clanmates and friends. If you do, you set yourself up as a pariah. If you don't, you're showing bias. If there's a perception of wrongdoing, it's mod abuse. If people just want to give you a headache, it's mod abuse. Whatever "big benefit" people imagine that there is to being a moderator - it isn't what you expect. There's no special abilities granted, no easy path for equipment, nothing except a green target and perpetual disappointment in your fellow players. -
Naval Action Launch information - June 2019
Powderhorn replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
I can't help but to reflect on where we've been together. It's been about five years since the first Sea Trials started. An Open World was launched, dozens of ships added, new factions, new friends, new foes, custom maps, various iterations of the economy, and of course the constant search for the sweet spot between arcade and simulator. Many of us, myself included, have gotten thousands of hours of enjoyment out of the game. I hope the data and insight we have offered was useful, even if at times the delivery was frustrating. Here's hoping to a good launch, new friends and foes yet to be met, and a strong community to welcome them.- 118 replies

Locked for review. Anolytic - while your gesture is magnanimous, it is not for you to be the final arbiter.

If you link them, I'll merge them all into one topic, but I doubt anyone is going to hunt them down to try to get the full picture. -
I wonder why the person decided to impersonate me, instead of any of the other moderators? This just proves that I'm the favorite.

I think what Liq is suggesting is that after 15 minutes, his Indiaman likely did reappear on the OW.

This is literally just trying to get parting shots in. How you cannot see this as adding to the problem is beyond me. -

Add Reals to Traders

At least for the US, during the Quasi-War with France, warships were used to transport hard currency. The Captain transporting it would get a bounty, and at least one cash-strapped Captain basically ignored operational goals in favor of lining his pockets. (It didn't work.) -
While I appreciate that you asked politely - no. I'm not looking for an argument, I'm laying it out how people need to comport themselves. Do so within the confines of decency, and all is good. Stray outside those confines, and you can look from the outside in while everyone discusses it without you.

This is not "getting off on a technicality." This is simply explaining how language works. I don't mind that people are upset. Most of those posts can stand. However, I will not allow this propagandistic redefinition of a word to stand simply so players can abuse it and feel like they have some moral high ground. People are upset about a wipe. Fair enough. They should explain why. If that sways the developers, fair enough. If it does not, fair enough.

Everyone keeps saying that admin lied. English is not everyone's first language on here, but, let me clear something up real quick: Emphasis added. There was no lie. There was no intent to deceive. You cannot lie about there not being an XP wipe if you did not know about it yourself. There was a reevaluation, and some people will be upset about that. However, now that I've cleared that up, any post going forward accusing admin of lying about the wipe will be dismissed out of hand. Talk about why it frustrates you. Talk about what you think the impact of the decision will be. However, accusing him of lying is simply false and non-productive.
