  1. They should start in a one of the other Nation/Factions and then actively commit actions to become a pirate.
  2. Several RAE players caught me outside Bahia Honda. It was great fun. We had great time chatting while they were graping me after they demasted me. lol... GG RAE. It was good to see all of you online and in good spirits.
  3. There should be an option in the new UI that would allow people to move it, and change its size to fit them. Much more efficient.
  4. Sorry Mandrake, I didn't see it before I posted. I wanted to put up the 'extreme' version in hopes they'd say no and actually come up with something good. Glad I noticed yours. I like your ideas.
  5. Open 24/7? Sounds good to me. How would the Conquest craft/war supplies work? I like that idea.
  6. I have an idea for PBs. All ports, except for Capitols and Free Ports, should only be open on the weekend starting at 18:00 server time and lasting until midnight Sunday/early Monday morning server time. Whoever holds the ports when the timer is up holds that Port for the week until the next weekend. Those that are already in a PB when the timer is finished have until the Battle Timer is complete to gain/lose that Port for that week. It will mean that you will have to actually plan for an attack on one or two ports at a time and have the forces to hold that port, because it can just as easily be retaken within the hour of victory. This would stop - hopefully - the whiny "well the ports aren't open when we are online" BS that occurs. What do you think?

  8. lol At one point you can see me getting side swiped by a 3rd Rate. That happened twice. Next time fella's, at least take me out to dinner first, eh?
  9. Maybe there is a solution for the Port Battles. When one is initiated, a pop up for the ship classes need pops up to all players of that nation to be ported to the battle? Like they do in other MMO's when you queue for Dungeons or PVP and then when it's ready it pops up and if you're ready then you click yes, if not, then click no. What do you all think?
  10. I'm looking forward to a better Port Battle mechanic and a map wipe. It is Early Access after all. Bring on the wipes. Let's make this an even better game by fixing these problems people keep complaining about.
  11. Or the devs are going to move the Spanish capitol south. Sounds good to me. They need some breathing room to rebuild.
  12. They can be touched. Do what the US clans do, get up early on a weekend and take it back.
  13. You do know that even with a 24 hour timer it also gives your enemies that same 24 hours to retake ports, yes? Then the Spanish, and most likely others would be complaining about that, as well. I'm not sure if there is a good solution to this problem. I would love it if the Spanish had a unified command like the US Navy has. It would make things much more interesting. As it currently stands, it just seems like the United States is steam-rolling our opponents. That can be fun for a while, but it's already becoming sad, like kicking a sick puppy. The one thing I will NEVER do, even if ordered by my clan leadership and the US Navy leadership, is attack foreign nation noobies. They are here trying to learn the game, and being ganked by a ship that out guns them by such a degree is just plain disgusting. At least have the balls to attack a ship that is close to having a chance at success. I know some in the US Navy, and probably others do it, but we should be helping and guiding the newbies into better ships and learning the game, not making them want to quit 2 seconds after logging in. BTW, I am proud to say, that even tho the US Navy was in active operations against the Spanish last night, we did help them defend Mariel from a Pirate fleet. It was fun seeing the Spanish and US factions fighting on the same side for a change. To those that were there: It was an Honor sailing and fighting by your side. 07 Regards.
  14. LOL! So wait.... Running around engaging a SINGLE ship in 'combat' with 7 means you are 'kicking'our ass? Now THAT is funny. You brought a Belle Poule, 2 Renomee, a Cerberus, and 2 Mercury's to a mission just to gank a lone Cerberus. How 'manly' of you. Maybe try attacking more than just one lone ship but... Then again that would be too many for you. Wouldn't it?
  15. What he doesn't say is that that 'battle' was 7 vs 1. They jumped into my mission and attacked. I didn't see the other guys at all. Well, I did see Lobogris. As he was among the Spanish/Pirate players attacking. lol...
  16. Wouldn't mind seeing this as well. I'd do more trading if I earn exp.
  17. Will you be allowing more than one character in the future? Even if there is a time limit on switching characters? Maybe make each server seperate xp/nation wise so people can try out other factions with friends?
  18. The United States Navy obviously thought that the Commandant titles weren't worth keeping and changed them to Commander. If the Devs are hard pressed for rank titles, then I say use the ones the USN finally decided upon. As for why I don't like Commandant? It just feels wrong to have a naval rank title Commandant to me, and obviously the USN, since they don't use it any more.
  19. How is it necessary for the game? You mean era-wise?
  20. Well, I'm glad the USN changed it, because Lieutenant Commandant sounds awful as a rank title. lol... Still, let's at least vote on it. See where people stand. If they vote stay as is cool, if not, and want just the Commandant changed to Commander, that's cool as well. I just hadn't read anything about that rank in USN history so it sorta threw me through a loop of confusion. So I started a vote to see if people wouldn't mind seeing it changed, or, the Commandant ranks at least. Personally, I'm for just changing the Commandant to Commander and calling it good. But, hey, if the majority want it to stay as Commandant, and the Admins/Devs agree, cool beans. Regards.
