  1. The Ardent class, which includes Nelson's Agamemnon and Pellew/Hornblower's Indefatigable:
  2. I believe the Canada was the first ship of the so-called Canada Class of 74s (Captain was a Canada Class, IIRC). So maybe some Canada Classes are being mistaken with the Canada herself?
  3. Map of Port Royal from before the earthquake: http://www.jamaicanfamilysearch.com/images/mapptryl.JPG I've also found this amazing hi-res map of the environs of Kingston and Port Royal, with farm fields and major roads, and the locations of houses (NOTE: Kingston didn't exist until Port Royal was destroyed in an earthquake in 1692): http://www.bigmapblog.com/maps/map03/ICEWyubhGQXLsvrr.jpg Port Royal Map 1: Port Royal Map 2 Map of Port Royal and Kingston Area: Map of St. John's, Antigua Map of Barbados and Bridgetown, 1722 Here is a 1776 map of Bridgetown. I did some Google Earth-ing and saw that the intersection of Tudor and Reid streets are the same now as they were in the 1700s, which might be a good reference point for building out the rest of the city. I also found high-resolution original blueprints of Codrington College, Barbados. Here is that college on Google Maps. A nice picture of the college as it stands today, which might be useful for texturing purposes: 1738 high res map of Kingston, Jamaica http://gallery.bl.uk/viewall/default.aspx?e=Caribbean Views For props: Here is a blueprint of a sugar mill from 1794 Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados (1692) King's House, Spanish Town, Jamaica (built 1762, gutted by fire 1925) What's left of King's House Kingston, Jamaica 1827 (might help with some buildings on the Kingston map?) Map of Tobago with native settlements, 1756 Fort George, Barbados 1782 (with surrounding plantations/farmhouses marked out) Morne Fortune, St. Lucia, 1781 Barracks for 300 men at Morne Fortune Another lot map of Kingston. Here's good info on how Kingston was laid out. Antigua, 1732 A Picturesque Tour of Jamaica in 1820 and 1821, complete with drawings http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/A_Picturesque_Tour_of_the_Island_of_Jamaica 1722 map of Barbados Nautical Chart of Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados http://www.heritagecharts.com/shopimages/products/extras/A513_zoom_web.jpg map of Port au Prince: A True and Exact History of the Island of Barbados, 1673 Starting at page 94 there is a diagram of some sugar cane processing facility which might be good to build and add Watching this documentary brought me to some other resources Upgrading and renewing a historic city: Port Royal, Jamaica (1984) if anyone can get their hands on this book that would be amazing. Here is a floor plan of a site that was excavated underwater at the site. They think this is Jenny Cook's restaurant Might be worth contacting these architects in Jamaica to see what they have regarding resources on old Port Royal? Peter Francis was featured in the above documentary. GIANT HUGE IMAGES...be warned!! 4. Hey guys, I've accumulated several high res period maps of some important towns in the Caribbean with the hope that devs or freelancers or whoever comes along and recreates the settlements in the game. I know this is super way down the list of priorities at the moment, but would this be the appropriate area of the forum to post them should I be so inclined? Heck, maybe someone likes unity mapping so much they start doing towns like other modelers are doing ships Thanks, JOVE23
  5. I have town plans from the Caribbean coming out of my ears, I will share the ones I can easily find below. Keep in mind, these images are HUGE, so 56k beware: http://imageshack.com/a/img5/4892/pnzz.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img89/6981/2ek9.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img822/1057/sr3j.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img850/3306/mtwo.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img35/6351/7id5.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img822/7739/22ah.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img856/4977/pg0o.jpg
  6. I have quite a few maps of port towns in the Caribbean during the time period (Hi, Pirates Ahoy guys!). I won't post them all, but I will link to one to show an example of some of the stuff I have (should it be of interest). Port Au Prince, Haiti, c. 1755
  7. Hello all! First post here, so pardon me if this is a dumb question. I know this thread is mainly for ship blueprints and most cities will be built by players, but is there an interest/need for maps of some of the more famous towns and cities in the Caribbean? I can provide such images should they be of interest. Thanks, JOVE23
