  1. Oh, Hethwill the Outdated, Lloyds would like to have a word with you: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2002/04/08/pronoun-overboard
  2. To be fair to the artist who made the Surprise, he certainly had different tris count limits three or four years ago. Makes a huge difference in visual quality.
  3. 'Flatten' her transom and and make her fir/fir only IIRC, she was part of the Cygnus-class, the only main difference from the Ledas was the type of wood used.
  4. Pffftt...ships of the line...there are four in the pipeline for the rvr players. We also need some of these little cuties:
  5. Wonderful model with amazing details! A job very well done. (those see-through quarter-gallery windows, tho)

  7. The stern with three arcs was the standard design since John Williams became sole surveyor in the early 1770s. Very few british-built frigates/sloops deviated from that design (just Myrmidon and the Tisiphone-class, IIRC), so theres very little reason to believe Endymion's stern would have looked different. Edit: @Olikigotho I have given up making suggestions like yours a long time (2016?), the all-glass quarter-galleries/ windows and sticking guns in every available port being my particular pet-peeves (e.g. the stern chasers on La Renommée - muhahahha). But I applaud your effort and you get a digital pat on the back for it
  8. Ahem, why should the barbers be jugded by the conventions and the 'code of honor' of western navies? Doesn't make sense.
  9. @z4ys I love you for this suggestion. I really do. #lateens4ever
  10. Soooo...is this post about the ship by Benstrup (1734) or the one built by Krabbe (1765)?
  11. Pity we dont have a fixed date ingame, this would make arguing wether the treaty was still in effect or not much more fun 😛 By the way, I did know about polish soldiers fighting during the American revolution but not about polish privateers. Sounds interesting, any info about this on the net?
  12. Sorry to say, but including Prussia, Russia and Poland before Portugal was a f****** joke. Prussia especially....pft.
  13. Yup. Sounds better, too ^^ @z4ys Thanks for the link. I think Alex nailed it in this thread, copy of a Chapelle plan, the rest is pure fantasy.
  14. merci beaucoup, msr hethwill. But sometimes ignorance is a bliss
  15. Uhm, never seen a blueprint for the Herc. Where can I find it?
  16. Awesome lateen sails look awesome. And it´s easy to see why each sail should have a good tack and a bad tack.
