  1. I'm not 100% sure but I think people are getting things mixed up in regards to the wipe. I would have thought that the devs aren't starting with all new stuff, they would (more than likely imo) incorporate past changes as well as introduce new ones in an effort to get the game balanced. I am all in favour of the wipe its a game in pre release, its what happens in all the games I've ever played.

  3. I would add that if there is a trader given as part of the wipe then with friends to help you could very easily have 20-30 million on day 1
  4. Hello, So am I to understand that anyone who is not either Spanish, French or English will be unable to use the pve area for the production of ships where the mats have been farmed in pvp ports? If this is correct it stinks IMO. I do not want to join any of these nations.
  5. Does that include outposts? Will one of the 4 ships be a trader? Also will there be a better distribution of farmable assets ie gold and silver. It is very frustrating when playing a minor nation when people like the Spanish get the best results.
  6. Thanks for that I have now read the latest patch notes. I'm on holiday so have been unable to play as this was all changed just as I went.
  7. It seems that my trader ships have a weight restriction take for example my LGV its on 2900 it used to be higher than that I'm sure
  8. I can't blame you, PVP1 is IMO very toxic, there are far to many mouthy stupid people on it. I'm english and I can't stand the average english player on it, he's a loud mouthed yob mostly, just like the football supporters, eager to blame others without looking at their own behaviour. I doubt if the devs will take into any consideration that you have paid for a game and might leave if your server is closed, you have paid your money thats all that matters.
  9. So if ship cap is back for traders, I'd like to see the ability to hide the loot from these ships on an island, will that happen at all?
  10. The 32-point rose has the uncomfortable number of 111⁄4° between points, but is easily found by halving divisions and may have been easier for those not using a 360° circle. Using gradians of which there are 400 in a circle,the sixteen-point rose will have twenty-five gradians per point.
  11. I'd like to see who the contraband runners are when selling or buying in ports, why should I sell production to an enemy or buy their products.
  12. I can imagine that the trade routes are the same, the bots are duplicated exactly the same and production will be the same in each port. The map certainly is the same, just that there will be more people online, which is a bonus as we don't have to go hunting for an enemy. I'd advise you to take a look in there.
  13. Mission markers need to be more visible the white is terrible as if the sun is coming up you can sail right by it. I'l like it to be a flashing colour rather like a lighthouse but in say orange or something similar.
  14. Studding sails, also mixed cannon on either side, ie cannon one side, carronades the other. Bring back double shot, but only allow it when the guns have heated up. Bar shot (like chain but a rigid bar between each ball) and spider shot.
  15. I'd want more than a gold watch for 60 years service, chances are you'd be dead shortly after retiring. I imagine regardless of reaching the current maximum rank (Rear Admiral?) eventually it will go to Admiral of the Fleet, or even 1st Sea Lord if english.
  16. Around 100 are on most days but it could well be many more as some have not played for a long time due to the merge at some point
  17. Marines used to work on the quarter deck, the mizzen mast was part of their job as well, also if short handed they would be expected to work the guns. At least this is true in the RN. "More untrained and undisciplined crew wouldn't affect gun reload. A gun crew was the crew" They would, it takes quite some time to get a gun crew operating at maximum efficiency, the game should certainly penalise the ship thats always losing crew on reloading ability.
  18. I voted yes, reason being that I sometimes like to pick on a ship thats got better guns and more of them, plus of course the graphics are not real world sharp so its quite hard to tell if its badly damaged.
  19. It would be nice if we could have manual sails in open world along with the telescope. Is this likely to happen? note from bungee: I edited your title so that ppl get what you want from first glance
  20. I'd like to see a merge with a pvp and pve server for each type of player. Currently I play on pvp eu3 and its basically dead, can sail all round the map and miss real players but there's plenty of massive bot fleets, and there's not much fun to be had chasing single traders.
  21. Well I voted for the Wasa as imo its big enough to take on a 2 decker and its maneuverable.
  22. La Renommée was a 40 gun frigate of the Pallas class She became HMS Java in the Royal Navy, where she was equipped with 38 guns but was captured by USS Constitution (44 guns) lol this is the 1808 one.

  24. I don't really care when it is so didn't vote. 23.00 to 17.00 the next day is when I can't play, so whatever suits others in that time is fine with me.
