  2. You can get cannons as loot from npcs atm. Yeah trading some rep kits in battle with fellow players would be nice. I think you can tell your npc to stop and sail next to it to access its cargo in battle. But i haven't tried that yet since i don't use fleets.
  3. Small question did you check if you did reloged to the same server? Since all your assests are only on the server on played on.
  4. With the up coming wipe VIE is looking to strength its numbers for the new challanges ahead. We will mostly focus on the PvP EU server. If you are intressted in joining a clan with a long standing history in big / small PvP and RvR (aswell as all needed around that) contact me, Daniboy3000 or dannevirke in game, via the forum or on the danish national ts after the wipe.
  5. One could argue this kind of results are the reson they reworked the bonus to hull thickniss (only percent based now) and the hp to cannon dmg ratio ;-)
  6. A very interessting and well-thought-out proposal to fix some of the short comings of the old and the current system. I like the no port battle idea as it looks likea lot more variety then the current port battle system.
  7. @Liquicity who says those days are over? It is even easier to demast on the testbed, you just have to do it more often since player can rep every 10min. Making it abit pointless in some casses.

Yes i get that there needs to be a check and you don't real want to sail out with not enought crew by mistake, i am just say it would be nice if the need crew is tide to the amout and size of the mounted guns, so you don't need ti carry around and risk crew you don't need, like when you sail a LGV without guns. With the new system that the guns reduze the cargo hold that could also apply to the crew (including their provitions). That would give you the option to use normal warships as fast trader (no/few guns and less crew but more cargo space). You did have a system that did tie the crew to the br of a ship that would help against the alt abuse from undercrewing, since 1BR gives about 2xp for the kill atm on testbed.
  9. I have to say the hard limit of 70% max crew as minmal crew feels a bit off for some ships. If you undergun or sail without guns you end up with guys in boarding doing nothing when using minmal crew. How about a more dynamic min. crew of sailing crew + 50% of the max needed gun crews of all mounted guns on the ship?
  10. I had the same problem on saturday. The ships are still there and you can sell them via the store (putting ships up for sell), i equipment you can see the ship you have selected and you can go to ow with it. When i sold my ship i could tp between my outposts, but then i couldn't get a new ship or go to ow or anything . The shop was also empty. I then trade all gold and stuff away to delete the char and make a new one. While trying to empty my LH i noticed that they wouldn't go down so i basicly had unlimited lh. I made a new char after makeing F11 about all that.
  11. Gute Frage was wird eigentlich aus der Yacht, aber ich vermute mal die wird in ein Schiff nach dem neuen System umgewandelt und du kannst die ganz normal Redeemen. Aber ich denke es wird auch weiter hin Schiff vom NPC zukaufen geben und da du deinen Rang behälst kannst du die ja auch nutzen bis es gecrafted Schiff zukaufen gibt oder du was passendes karperst.

  13. Indeed a very nice looking model, maybe it will make it into the game someday. Unfortunately for what i understand making the 3d model of the hull seems to be the "easy" part of making a ship for the game, all the thing like the damage model, the sails/rigging and all the moving part take a lot of time and work aswell.
  14. The game is not optmized and the devs said it won't be done befor they are done with getting all the game features and the new UI in. Also i was able to run the game with about 50-60 fps one my desktop i7 with R290x and when that died with about 30 fps on the same rip with my old gtx470 on ultra (AA off) at 1920x1020. Even my Notebook (i7 with GT 650m) runs at around 20-25 fps with medium/high settungs.

  17. Ok my assets on the testbed server got reset again today (char: batlicsailor Nation: D-N), so i just made a new char (baltic in Spain) but i had used all the reedambles befor so i if 0 gold and only a basic cutter now :-( . But atleast the crafting exp got saved.
  18. I know ragnar ( http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/profile/6960-ragnar-hairy-trousers/ ) made a few models (like Endymoin and Indefatigable) that made it in the game. But i have no idea if he is still around to give you some tips.
  19. We i just logged in the testbed server i noticed that all my outpost where gone and i only had one in the capital with a basic cutter left. I still have the officer, crafting exp and bp as well as my gold left. I guess i could just delete the char and make a new one to get the redeemables back. I just wonder if the crafting exp will be saved when i make a new char on the testbed?
  20. I got DCed 3 or 4 times during the pb, but i forgot to make a connecting test right after i was to focused at getting back into the battle.
  21. How a about a challange ship that doesn't take a habour slot, but you can change the upgrades guns (maybe with out perma slots). And you can only enter the challange with that ship but not sail it in ow.
  22. I agree the current mods + regional bonus stacking has a way to big impact on the ships stats (especially since most mods are percentage based). Personaly i feel then new regional speed bonuses together with the new RoE doen't work well together and is a even bigger reson why less OW PvP is going on atm. I personaly hoped that many of this problems will be fix with the new ship crafting system, since it is a good opportunity to get rid of remnant mods and bonuses when changing to the new system.
  23. Yes it would be interessting to know if you can set your own sails on fire by fireing your wether deck guns when at full sails. if so we might accually see some big battles with ships on battle sails. No matter what i hope this will limited the guild fireships bombs effect alot.
