Naval Action Repair Calculator
balticsailor replied to Bumsebiene's topic in Guides - development forum
One repair is 100 HP per side, right? Putting total and relative amount of recovered HP per repair in could be usefull. -

Hard caps on stacked boni
balticsailor replied to Tom Farseer's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I wish they would take the how mod system from NAL, so at least some good lives on from it. Personaly i have never been a fan of how they implemented mods/refits/upgrades/ peaks into NA, right from the start they never real aimed for balance. Since the first version of mods there where allways to many no brain mods (only upsites with no drawbacks) in every iteration.- 19 replies

I remember there has been so discusions about the vertical stabilision effect you get from the fast vertical aim that follows the mouse and not the deck (main issue is/was gameplay/fun vs realisum if i remember correct) . But is seems to be a very well worked out idea for an alternative to the current system, i would be all up for testing that one.

Forged papers testimonials/reviews
balticsailor replied to admin's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Forged paper are great, i keep a stack of them to set my ships ablaze the day befor release wipe. -
Of couse we are on the platte that much since we never took part in the forum RvR only the real PB, but it was only a short time after EA on Steam that we could field a full 25 PB (with capptured 3rd rates back then) and were holding the west for weeks against SLRN in the Danish 3 front war (Brits, Swedish and French) till the black Friday. I realy miss the old Trafalgars though, best fun i ever had in this game.

Forthcoming patch final discussion.
balticsailor replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
What about the multirepairs in battle? Do plan to fix them, like get rid of them or longer cool down and slower repairs? Will the upgrades/skills and refits be balanced? And what about the rare to get overpower regional refits like carthena refit? -
Balancing of Modules
balticsailor replied to mikawa's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
This is not a new problem, ever since upgrades where first introduces into NA they never have been realy balanced. Not as a hole, at least normaly only the most Op once get nerved once in a while. As long there are upgrades/refit/skills with out negatives, there will be no balance. -
When was the game really good?
balticsailor replied to Lannes's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Personaly i liked the time befor the pb where broad into the game the best times, back when people meet up in ow to make trafalgar battles for fun. If the stack are to high some people get in the must win at all cost mod and start to look for exploits and work arounds instet of just playing for the fun of it. Don't get me wrong i did a lot of port battles and enjoy the team work and so on, but often all the stuff around the pb is more work then fun. -
The main problem is that the AI is allways full preped for boarding and they will pull you at any chance they get if they have enough crew. A player would need alot more crew in survival then the AI has ready for boarding at that point or would sink very fast if he tried to switch off survival to get boarding prep. The best course of action for the Op would have been to build up enouth prep to disengage and some reserve for a defends, since the AI likes to attack after you used all you prep for the disengege comand.

Trader Ship Knowledge Boxes
balticsailor replied to CaptVonGunn's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I still wonder why the travel exp doesn't count to ships knowledge in the first place. -
Repair/Hold Speed Penalty
balticsailor replied to Captain Lust's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
psssst, don't tell any one ;-) -
Unfortunately i had the same issue (also Telekom) but just when i started a mission. I tried to log in a few times but couldn't. When logged back in now i was in Port and my ship was gone...

The BP are unlooked by the crafting rank, so if you looking to sell ships there should be a market for Endymions, the Essex is a bit more rare since it doesn't have chaser and there for it is rarely used for PvP. If you tring to level up crafting it is still best to build trader lynx/ t. brigs with the peak that reduce lh for 6-7thr rates.

Looks a bit like the Santi was in the battle group and you couldn't pull it into the battle, strange that a battle was started anyway. The ships that join after the battle started where useing the join circles from ow.

“Being Prepared…” and Norfolk’s hard lesson
balticsailor replied to Norfolk nChance's topic in Guides - development forum
Side note be carfull about sailing around with action boarding perp, when you are in boarding you will suffer higher crew losses. That is why that grap broadside in your stern was so deadly. Giveing out that super slow Indis to everyone is a bit of a evil joke when handing out those fast bermuda surprises as well -
[modules] ShipUpgrade book modifiers [Patch 11.0]
balticsailor replied to Black Spawn's topic in Guides - development forum
I wonder what the point of Trim by the Stern is since it only has negatives. Or does it have any hiden bonuses? -
It is rather a bad discription and a lack of documentation then a bug. You allways had to caim the contract to get the money back, while been in the same port. The delete button was for deleteing the contract from another port and lose all the goods and money (for when you realy need the contract slot but can't tp there).
