  1. The point of small battle instances is to meet in combat. It is to engage in combat (actively). Running around is griefing - it is combat avoidance. At one point, the out of zone circle used to shrink with the passage of time. It's that still the case?
  2. Same. I've opened all recommended ports without luck. I'll try a reinstall tonight maybe...
  3. The attached videos (removed by Grim) only serve to recognize that WIS has a long history of high level PVP, and that of shared good sportsmanship. Being as it is the only video I have, it's probably a good sign it's also one of our few victories. EDIT: vid removed by ME. WIS are great opponents. We'll make more videos soon.
  4. Awesome. Thank you. I will try these tonight and follow up with an update, whether it works or not... But probably not dmz.
  5. Hello. Is this still a bug? It is for me, limiting my ability to group up (once I lose chat, it also no longer shows me online to squad mates). I've submitted tickets, just looking for update in case it's a port forwarding issue or something else on my end. (in case this is considered to be resolved) Thank you.
  6. You twist the truth like a serpent. Must be your nature.
  7. Yes, ceasefires on all sides are broken, including one brokered, only to see Biloxi under attack less than an hour later. Folks, all of this is old news. USN has Louisiana, and stands alone without allies. That is really what the sun of all events boils down to.
  8. OMG is back in action. I wonder if Renee is playing.
  9. Thanks LV. They're all new concepts. One I haven't been using since 2008 in Eve and POTBS.
  10. Anglais / French communicating will be a work in progress. As my first experience in NA I thought the port battle team was very positive, despite the odds. No (that I could understand) objected to laying it all on the line. Some obvious constructive feedback includes fleet discipline (observe the map overhead views and consider ineffective firing positions of ships stacked so deeply). USN did better at this than us, but not great either. Comms on teamspeak were excellent. Very little cross chatter. Target calling for focus fire was almost non existent. It almost felt like we needed battle groups, with at least 2 leaders (front half, and back half), as targets that were called only pertained to those in that localized area. Had comms been recorded, I'd of posted a full length video, but new PC... Didn't realize they weren't.
  11. If taking notes, Spain... A thought. The big scary third rates, and some of the 4th rates: don't bother shooting at them. At this point, for dps output is very poor due to reload time. However, their tanking ability is very high, especially against load poundage cannon balls. It might be more effective to kill off the 5th/4th rates first. This dynamic will only exist for a little while, until ships are crewed properly. Otherwise, I'd normally say shoot the big ships.
  12. Complete miscalculation on my part. Stephen only had 180 crew on his Bellona by then. I really did have 3 boarding upgrades on. At about 4 minutes, he rams another player. That was about the closest to boarding I came. It did make for a nice video ending
  13. In a turn of events that sees an otherwise peaceful French nation settling down in Louisiana, the United States Navy (USN) attacks. Though without a standing navy, nor arms of the day, France meets the USN at TerreBonne. Supposed allies of the Dutch, whom France is at war with in the Lower Antilles, the USN effectively sends all French players to fight the Dutch in South. Stephen Decatur's expulsion of the French being near complete, makes no allies for the future. Britain, Spain, Pirates, and all else - We will stand with you against the USN.
  14. Hex, I could not agree more. Plus, someone cannot tell me, in this example, that they know they are purposely circumventing a game play progression system. Even someone with only the slightest of moral compass would know better. These individuals were caught. They've paid their due, and can now return to the NA community as contributors.
  15. I do not need to be told I'm exploiting the game with actions as these. + 1. L'État, c'est moi.
  16. For all of pre-alpha, the USN has been in pursuit of Billy. You can take Louisiana, but you'll never get my Goat.
  17. Excellent work. Patrick Plerrick, you are a valued contributor to both the French Navies, and the Naval Action community at large.
  18. It's a milestone in the opening days of game release. They're the first to do so. Herding a group in the same direction to accomplish a goal is always more difficult that the end result belies Cheers
  19. Hi. I figured this is connected to the chat issue somehow (which I have). When I enter a battle or leading screen, and that nice painting is shown with the text underneath, it momentarily flips upside down and the text changes to (?) Russian script. Then it changes back. Gameplay impact: none Importance to fix: low Hard to F11 it, since I cannot in that moment
