  1. Your port that you want to attack is just bad. Try to get missions for Vera Cruz and New Orleans. Campeche is decent as well. But yeah before you have a raiding port for this towns you engaged into rvr making the need for those missions obsolete. What remains is that you could say "I raided NO or VC" turning it into a trophy.
  2. If you want cheap repairs come visit the open port Mantua. Its the better option to tumbado. After a certain time the is no need to spend millions every day. shipyard done eco done books done whats left are guns, ships, reps and sometimes mods.
  3. Especially when the ship has 447 muskets but kills 719. Some musketballs must have killed more than one guy. Pure skill
  4. As pointed out by @Malcolm3 the respawn time depends on the goods. Coconuts are a cheap trading good. But because of of the high availability and short trading routes even with the low cost goods its possible to print money. An other example: Those coconuts/livestock are produced in a shallow water port. So it would only be possible to get 17 per ship out of town (not taking hold opti perk into account). I am working together with a friend but it can even be done with an alt. What I do... I have an outpost at the producing port (shallow). I stockpile goods I have 4 tbrigs I load every tbrig with 17 goods I sail to the shallow water border What my friend does.... Is waiting with 4 indiamans at the shallow water border I give him one by one a stack of 17 goods till his indiamans are full He starts sailing to to 5mins away port that consumes the goods He makes for every item 3.5 times profit We repeat that a few times and done millions without any high risk. Because we are even guarded by our coastal defense. We flooded the marked in the conusming town with our goods but still get 3.5 times the profit
  5. Problems are ... a consuming port that is already stocked high with the same good still pays the price for that good as it would have nothing in stock High stocked goods in a trading port get consumed to fast. An example (without considering alts that would make it even easier). I can buy coconuts in Port A (Those respawn within 30mins) So I can even stockpile them and wait a bit till my hold is full of coconuts and I can do maybe 2 or 3 runs. And because its just a few mins sail between producing and consuming port its a safe sail. Everytime I sell my coconuts to port B I get the same price regardless if i have flooded the market there with coconuts or not. I always get the 3,5 times more than the buy price. And this is just with low profit goods. Suggestion: Pls limit consumption rate of ports. Let trading limit itself. Add diminishing returns back in for selling goods
  6. loki is a fun item. The user of the rune risks nothing therefore should gain nothing except fun when he joined a nice battle. Not sure about the one who is getting jumped. Many times my battles got joined by a loki as his ship was sinking or complete demasted. You can even trigger that by killing the ai slowly. Should i gain more as normal xp for that? In my opinion no. It should stay as it is. A fun item for risk free instant action.
  7. isnt that how it should be?^^
  8. multiplayer campaign = no But an option to do custombattles a la... There are certain decks (like in a card game) for xy tech funds and xy ship building funds. So everyone can tinker around and create his personal deck of tech and ships in the limits of that deck tier. Then for multiplayer you pick a deck tier. Decks of same tier can battle each other. (ofc those deck tiers are set by game labs) Thats actual the same as the current custom battles just vs human. without the need for the opponent to wait till everyone has build his lineup. Time compression and pause is ofc not possible.
  9. In the one hand I do agree that BR of ships is strange atm. L'Hermoine 220 while an Endy has only a handful of BR more. A bigger BR would make it possible to assign proper BR for ship capabilities. Furthermore BR for upgrades is needed as well. On the other hand the feeling of the all mighty first-rate like after the introduction of shot weight is all gone. It feels like we are back to a diameter sized (old system). So such a huge BR for lineships isnt really justified anymore.
  10. pls add steam or ingame achivements like: Has caught every species of fish in the West indies Found a bottle Sunk his first player won a battle with less than half the BR on his side (pve/pvp) Fought in a Portbattle Has done a successful raid etc
  11. Really nice! Actual whole first post is nice and promising. Really cant wait for the chat improvements and new ships
  12. When you dmg the square sail of a privateer it can go upwind faster (between 30° and 5°) So yes the area that is dmged influences the sailing caracteristicas. When you dmg only the square sails (of a square rigger) of the front mast the ship will not go straight anymore even with autoskipper enabled. But most of the time we do not notice because all sails are shredded. You can notice this effect as well when rasing sails on the Le requin. She will try to turn when the sails come up but as soon all are hoisted she goes straight.
  13. The flag is called "Bavarian River Fleet" But everyone loves Bratwurst and Oktoberfest 😉
  14. posted 27.9.2019 on UA:AoS Discord (I believe in this forum as well + game launcher)
  15. Tbh most people dont care about RvR its a necessary evil to compete in ship crafting. Thats a reason why people join the winning side. You just have to care less and others will do the job for you. Xmas truce was great. Just go out pvp and dont care. It was once said/written that only around 10% of the playerbase ever joined a portbattle. And when you look at the great battle result screens that are always the same usual suspects. lets face it not everyone enjoys RvR but all the shiny stuff is linked to rvr. Winning matters. A stronk RvR team in your nation means less headache for yourself.
