^this. I don't believe shallow waters should provide any sort of real advantage, unless perhaps too keep outside boarding range. A bigger ship is going to have bigger cannons, and hence, be able to fire at the smaller ship.

When aiming your gundecks at enemy ships, do you have to lead your target if they're a good distance off? or if i aim directly at the middle of the ship when they're 500+ yards away, will I hit the ship?

As others have said, I concur that open world should be a high priority for development before release. I personally feel that it is a must-have for a naval game like this.

Congratulations! I know that there has been much talk about Naval Action in the POTBS community.

Personally, I'm a fan of 4th rates because in my opinion, they offer the best combination of speed and damage (at least in my experiences)

Sorry for another of these type of posts, but after reading on these forums of interest from POTBS players, I thought it would be a good idea to have a forum where we can post our interest in the next round.
