  1. One issue with the "realism" aspect is the people who would just hang around outside of encounters waiting to jump those injured from battle.
  2. ^this. I don't believe shallow waters should provide any sort of real advantage, unless perhaps too keep outside boarding range. A bigger ship is going to have bigger cannons, and hence, be able to fire at the smaller ship.
  3. When aiming your gundecks at enemy ships, do you have to lead your target if they're a good distance off? or if i aim directly at the middle of the ship when they're 500+ yards away, will I hit the ship?
  4. Obviously the English Channel is the ideal place for the open sea to start. I would like to see the developers start developing the entire European continent, including the Mediterranean Sea. After the European open sea is developed and working well, the next step would have to be the Carribean, like in POTBS.
  5. As others have said, I concur that open world should be a high priority for development before release. I personally feel that it is a must-have for a naval game like this.

  8. Personally, I'm a fan of 4th rates because in my opinion, they offer the best combination of speed and damage (at least in my experiences)

Sorry for another of these type of posts, but after reading on these forums of interest from POTBS players, I thought it would be a good idea to have a forum where we can post our interest in the next round. Personally, I have been a player of POTBS since Beta and recently discovered this game from conversations with others. I would love to become a tester, if possible. Thank you for your consideration.
