  1. Yup, I'm gonna call it final. Think it looks pretty sleek, plus it's high def and transparent, unlike the old one. Well, I do enjoy reading them, so keep it up!
  2. What program are you using to make those little articles? Very cool idea. Okay, last (hopefully) set of pictures. v4 and v5. The comparison images are kinda small, so here's an album with the full size versions of both to better see detail. http://imgur.com/a/2kbTv v5: Got rid of the black, outer border on the top shape and very slightly thinned the solid shadow.
  3. Yeah, think the 3D helps add depth, but it's way too strong. I agree. Here's a new and improved one that makes things much sleeker. I really want us to use something other than a Google stock image, so I would like it to have some unique qualities. v3: Removed drop shadows (too blurry), lessened solid shadow effect to look more sleek. v4: Made the solid shadows even less as a test run. Full size image can be found here. http://i.imgur.com/braZwa5.png This is v3 on the left, and v2 on the right. This is v3 on the right, and v4 on the left
  4. Speaking of photos and stuff, got the SOL logo JPEG, and converted it all to vectors. Also, I added some shadow effects for depth, made it transparent, made the stars look "punched out" of the banner, changed the text to our ticker for better clarity at small size, and WAY up-sized it for higher definition. Tell me what you guys think. (I'll remove the huge picture after I get some feedback) Edit v1: Changed line-work a tad on solid shadows. Modified decorative lines. Edit v2: Added a much smaller comparison image to make post shorter. To see full size original, go here. http://i.imgur.com/izLfxOc.png Edit: Removed pictures to shorten post. See last post for newer versions.
  5. I'm currently running; CPU- i7 4770k (No overclock...yet) GPU- Radeon R9 295x2 RAM- 8GB Surprisingly with such an incredibly high end video card, I'm only getting like 40-60fps in ultra. I'm sure it's mainly due to optimization for Radeon cards though. Regardless, it's more than enough framerate to play in, and it absolutely never drops.
  6. I'm sorry, I don't understand. I am saying that condition factors ammunition. So instead of a supply system on ammunition, my concept deals with the unit's condition as a simulation of being well supplied and automatically figures out how well supplied that unit would be based on it's position, proximity to enemy fire, and proximity to the main force. All this is done behind the scenes, as it would in reality be done by officers.
  7. I want a supply system, but not one I have to manage. The whole point is to apply broad brush tactics and let the individual Officers deal with the details. As such, I'd like to see a basic system where a line is drawn from wherever either the center of gravity of your forces or the edge of the map you came from. And this line cannot be near an enemy unit of course. The length of this line would help determine the speed in which your condition increases. If a line cannot be drawn (read: encirclement), then that unit rapidly looses condition. That way you still have to make resupply possible as a general, but not actually do it directly. I want nothing to do with micromanagement.
