  1. A very thoughtful post, I am a player just like you but I do appreciate the effort you put into this for the game developers.
  2. I played a few times as the CSA before the patch and won everytime. However I played after this most recent patch and while I didnt get the finish all the battles I was losing slightly. Seemed pretty balanced, going to have to be a bit more careful and tactful now I guess.
  3. Would love to see them have the ability to dig in while they are idle.
  4. I am just curious because I really want to see this game do well so more will be made. I have told my friends about it for sure. If thats to personal or private info can you say if you are happy with sales so far? Encouraged? Could be better?? Also if i were interested in donating in the future how would i do that.
  5. I dont think digging in is a tactic that breaks the game, just need to balance it. SMG did a fine job with it. It was a part of the battle. If someone is dug in maybe you attack them head on or maybe you flank them forcing them out of their trenches or from behind cover. To me saying no digging in is like saying you cant have cover from trees because it would be game breaking, no not if done correctly. But hey I love the game, just trying to add suggestions and hopefully make it better.
  6. Oh it was a bug for sure, first game they were not there. 99% of my troops and 100% of theirs were missing. Then quit the battle, then continued and BOOM, map full of blue and Gray.
  7. I had this happen yesterday. That damn Union cloaking technology is a game changer for sure. Restarting the battle worked for me as well. I also believe it was on Day 3 also.
  8. I am certainly for the ability to dig in our build some type of fortification. I like the way SMG handled it, I believe if a unit was idle for a few mins they would auto dig in. Made sense.

  11. Any game they make I will certainly consider buying at this point. However I hope they perfect the current Civil War game before moving to another project. Get this one polished up and hopefully bring in some $$ and then move to a new one. I would vote for other Civil War battles before a Napoleonic game but thats just me. Either would be interesting. Ofcourse I live in the Southern United States.
  12. Sorry you are having issues. I just found this game this weekend and was able to play it with no problems. I didnt mind the pacing and certainly dont think its anything like an RTS. However I dont think a speed slider is a bad thing. More options for players the better. Hope you get to play it for a longer period of time soon. Good luck.
  13. First let me say thank you for doing this. I have been looking for a replacement for Sid Meiers Gettysburg for years since it will not run on my new laptop. To the game: I love the look of it, very pleasing to look at and realistic enough not to kill imerssion. Love the sound of the game, love the gun and cannon sound effects. I thought the pace of the game was fine, many have commented it seems to fast. I didnt think so but I dont think an option to adjust the speed would be a bad idea. Also good to give the player choices. HATE the idea of imited ammo for one battle, especially if it is going to hamper the AI which I thought was quiet good. However adding it as an option the player can choose again not a bad idea. Found that my cannon did not seem to fire alot. Played again and tried to target specific units and that seemed to help. Not sure if the AUTO feature for cannons was working that well. I would like more detailed after action reports, love details and if possible would be much appreciated. Need to ability to build fortifications or dig in on the hills. When units are idle they could be digging in. Certainly was a HUGE part of the real battle. Also might give some use to units that seemed to be routed. Move them back to hold points you have already taken and let them dig in, in the off chance of an attack by the opponet. Co-op MP would be oustanding. I forgot to add, i would love to be able to break off smaller units from the larger ones for more options. These are my thoughts, I wish you nothing but the best with this game. i was more than happy to give $10 to play it and support your efforts. I hope to see more battles in the future.
  14. Do not need limited ammo I do not believe, not for the one battle. Also I prefer a great AI over a confused one.
