  1. This has already been reported but I think its important to mention it's still happening: AI keeps building and scraping ships... this is a printscreen from my 1890s campaign as USA, in abril 1910 (20 years in) and look at the fleets the countries have... only Italy seems "realistic"... and no, I haven't wiped out their fleets, I've only been at war with Spain (goodbye) Japan and China... This is a major hindrance for a fun/realistic campaign Hope this gets fixed soon, been loving this game, have hundreds of hours playing and think that it has HUGE potential, once the quirks/bugs are ironed out it will be THE naval strategy game of the century
  2. I keep having this issue: trailing ships in a line formation keep zigzagging at speeds ABOVE their limit (in the picture all DDs are same 30kt max speed class) and fail to keep a steady course... this dirupts their accuracy making only the lead ship fire accurate salvos and hinders maneuvering the division... I end up splitting divisions to single ships in order not to loose accuracy but I'd rather not have to go into this level of micromanaging... Anyone else has this issue? EDIT: submitted bug report... this issue doenst happen ALWAYS but is very frequent and only happens in line astern formation, not line abreast...
  3. I think this is a bug (submited bug report in game)... playing as britain 1890 campaign I had in the span of 2 turns 3 of my provincies rebelling (including India and Ireland) and each of them generated a mission like Naval Invasion but the tonnage doesnt count... looks like as if it was generated for the rebelling faction, I dont know... of course all 3 missions failed despite me having my entire fleet positioned on the marked area... 1- It isn't very funny/realistical as britain loosing India and Ireland in the span of a few months and not being able to do anything about it.... 2- The naval mission is a nice idea if the tonnage counted... the player makes a "show of force" with a few warships and the rebellion calms down... that way you have more things to do with your fleet (particularly in peace time) and have more control over (not) losing provincies randomly...
  4. Maybe ships with higher range get increased chance/distance from port when getting randomly generated missions (convoy raids, etc)...
  5. So far not having troubles sending them to the bottom...
  6. I have found this also... turning AI control off and on seemed to fix it too
  7. My feedback on 1.14 so far: - Game performance in general much better: faster loading times, not a single crash or hang; - Combat: looks good, havent encountered any penetration or accuracy "oddities", lost my first ever balanced fight to the AI a squadron of 8 british DDs sunk my pre-dreadnought BB, a cruiser and an allied (swedish) light cruiser in a swarming torpedo attack to the loss of 3 of their number... - Campaign: having a blast but... land combat seems inconsistent... I'm fighting UK and have good relations with USSR (which are allied to UK) and in all my 3 offensives in Africa against UK Im also fighting russian forces (I'm not at war with them!!!)... National dissolutions seem much better (still a bit too easy I think) and nations rise again as they should All in all the game is not perfect yet but is in a good place for me... having a blast and already feel like I had my money's worth... Bring more features/hulls to the shipbuilder (paid or not I dont care) its my favorite part of the game Great work!
  8. My main concern is the easy dissolution of nations... I wouldnt mind not having major nations only dissolve if they lost half their home provincies or something... started a 1890 Japan campaing... World War Everytime begins by 1894... by 1895 France and Spain no longer exist... the campaign loses half its fun...
  9. TIME SCALE / SHIP MOVEMENT SUGGESTION I think we can all agree that ship movement at the time is just unrealistic... It took a small TF of 18knt cruisers 5 months to cross the Atlantic... If movement was realistic it would be instantaneous movement anywhere on the globe in 1 month... weekly movement would be more in line with the spirit of the game but it would become tedious in long campaings... I suggest a double time scale: monthly turns when you're at peace, with instantaneous ship movement and weekly turns whenever you're at war... what do you gentlemen think?
  10. Just had the game hang during the 24th year of my IJN campaign... was in the ship builder... had to hard reset the PC... lost ALL 5 save files... lost my USN campaign and my Kriegsmarine campaign along with my IJN campaign... maybe 100h in those 3 campaigns... know its beta but this sucks
  11. Dont know if this is a feature but in ship builder while changing to a more recent (and lighter) armour type the ship weight increases instead of decreasing... only happens in BBs (1890 Japan campaign game) EDIT: Didnt see correctly... my mistake
